1 x 10/100/1000 RJ45 Switch, Metal Volktek provides the harden, unmanaged PoE switches with a variety of port density. Volktek’s
unmanaged hardened series PoE+ switches have 5-Ports in which 4-Ports support 10/100/1000
PoE+ PSE (IEEE 802.3af/at) and 1 SFP uplink port. Network management function allows
remote monitoring on port & power status. These switches can withstand wide temperature
from -10°C to 60°C. Voltek’s IEN-8225P/8205P-24V are complied with innovative power
boosting technology, which boosts power from standard 24VDC to 57V DC without the need

for an external voltage converter. With 2 port SFP switches, a daisy chain can be designed to
extend the network for a long mile. Besides, the switches with 1 SFP slot helps to expand the

The single most likely point of failure in a data network is the cabling. This is particularly so in a network that
extends over a long distance, or when data cabling runs along with other utilities like water, electricity, or telephone
lines. Work on one utility’s infrastructure is notorious for causing outages to other utilities. Using resilient ring
network design, and/or using aggregated links that follow separate paths, enormously reduces the risk of outages
due to cable damage.
Choose the wrong cables and improper cabling leads to improper ventilation, overheating of the switch and dust
accumulation. So avoid installing cables in front of air vents of the switch and switch cabinet.
