2. Look at the 2 charts below. Describe the information that is stated
in the charts (The breakdown of sales by market and the rises and
falls in the markets share) in two paragraps. Each paragraph for each
chart.

This pie chart gives you a breakdown of Lenovo's worldwide sales. Can everyone
see that? Okay. As you can see, 27.6% of sales are in America, but it can be seen
that China represents 37.5% of worldwide sales, this graph shows the change in
market share in the last two or three years, as you can see, in in 2006, Lenovo's
market share was 35.8% after a poor start in 2007, rising again to 36.1% in the
second half of the year, dropping again at the end of the year, but rising again in
2008.

However, what is important here is that Lenovo is still the market leader in
China with evidence of about a third of all PC sales. This diagram summarizes the
company's main operations.

3. Elaborate your explanation to answer these questions:

What can companies do to these situations :


a. attract new customers
1. Through the Use of Social Media
In today's millennial era, every company would agree that social media plays a
very  important role as a powerful marketing tool. Because almost every circle in
Indonesian society is very active in using it. Through social media, companies can
connect and interact widely with various audiences.
In addition, the costs incurred are also relatively cheap when compared to other
marketing media with promising results. Social media marketing strategy also
allows companies to choose segments that match the products to be marketed.
So that the products offered in the end have a high chance of selling. Currently,
the most popular social media among the public are Facebook, Twitter and
Instagram.

2. Promotion or Giving Products for Free


The promotion strategy through product offerings for free is still considered the
most successful method. Because, what society doesn't want a product that is
given away for free? Another reason for this strategy is that people may not buy
the product because they don't feel the need to use it yet. So that when they get
the product through a free product offer, they will try and allow for subsequent
purchases.
Each company can offer its products through the selection of an event or the
right event. Offers can also be made with a personal approach or product appeal
to potential buyers. If the company's products are in the form of services or

digital media, then the company can offer a free trial, so that it can attract
potential consumers by knowing more about the products offered.

3. Determine a Strategic Location


An equally important part of product marketing is a strategic place or location.
The location in question is the location where your product is sold. The existence
of your product when placed in a strategic location allows it to be more visible to
your potential customers. So that it encourages them to make purchases and
sales can increase, rather than placing your product in a less strategic location.
How can you tell if a location can be said to be strategic or not, that is, you have
to do an analysis of the target market according to the products you have. So that
you can easily and effectively reach your target market so that it is in accordance
with the product marketing strategy. If the product you are selling is stationery
and the like, you can choose a location near a school or other educational
institution. This allows the products you sell to be easier to find and meet the
needs of your potential buyers.

4. Offer Incentives For Recommendations


A product can be judged as quality if it gets high trust from the public. This can
be obtained if your product is recommended. To get testimonials or
recommendations from your buyers who have used the product, you can give an
appreciation or award in the form of incentives. The form of appreciation does
not always have to be in the form of money, but can be in the form of a gift or
discount product. Through the incentive offers that you will provide, you will
indirectly get two target markets at once, namely your loyal customers, and
potential buyers who see product testimonials.
 
5. Your Company Must Have Good Relationships with Customers
Loyal customers are an important part of your company. Because they repeatedly
buy your product. This means that the regular income you get is inseparable from
the loyalty of your customers. In order not to lose buyers in the midst of many
market competitors, then what you can do is give appreciation or appreciation to
customers. These rewards can be in the form of fulfilling their feedback and
suggestions or sending them gifts for subscribing. This includes providing precise
and responsive Customer Service, an easy-to-understand UI, etc.

2.  Word-of-mouth advertising is often described as the best form of
advertising. Why do you think this is? When is it not true?
By using the word of mouth marketing method, if a consumer who wants to buy
a product or use a service feels interested in using it, but is afraid to continue,
then the marketing team only has to influence it. Even the possible impact is that
the consumer will infect or influence other consumers to try the services or
products that you offer. In general, people will be more confident and confident
when they want to choose, use, or buy a service or product with a direct verbal
explanation, so that consumers will be free to ask questions and be more
confident in making decisions.
Not only that, the strong word of mouth has proven to be able to create
enormous opportunities to create high-loyalty customers, and often they will
even form their own community. In addition, the duration or time of the sale will
be short, or maybe before you aggressively advertise, consumers have come to
order.
Basically the marketing strategy through word of mouth is not an easy thing.
However, if the strategy you are doing has a good design, then it is not
impossible to get a lot of customers.
Because word of mouth is the most effective form of advertising and the greatest
great small startups have, because every customer will be happy to be able to
lead others in their own way.

good advertisement.

include the taste or type of coffee used.

In addition, the ad will put forward the slogan of the advertised product.

An example is "A cup of spirit to make dreams come true" which is the mainstay
of Kopi Kapal Api's slogan.

The first liquid dish soap made by PT Unilever in Indonesia is
called Sunlight. In the 1980s, sunlight was sold in bottles as a liquid.
Sunlight always develops new products to fulfill the various needs of its
consumers. Sunlight also manufactures several types of bottles and refills
them with plastic packaging. The second most well-known brand of dish
soap in Indonesia is Mama Lemon, which is made by PT Lion Wings. five
years after Sunlight's inception, in 1985. Mama Lemon works with global
partners to market their products in addition to Indonesia, including
Dubai, Nigeria, Jordan, Lybya, and others. In 1997, Lion Wings innovated
by introducing a new product under the Mama Lime brand that can be
used to wash dishes as well as fruits and vegetables.

Every product strives to offer the best for customers in order to


satisfy a variety of customer wants, and each one undoubtedly has its own
advantages. Consumers have the authority to govern or make decisions,
and they have the right to determine which brand of liquid dish soap is
best and meets each person's demands. People are more familiar with
Sunlight products than Mama products at the moment, which is a general
phenomenon in society. Sunlight's marketing efforts are more noticeable,
or Sunlight markets its products more widely than Mama Lemon does.
People frequently utilize Sunlight because they consider it to be more
effective than Mama Lemon products, which is the root of this issue.
