ASSIGNMENT

Writing an application letter (FAs1 – individual) and a résumé (FAs2-individual). Apply for a vacant
position in a 3-star hotel. Prepare your application letter as well as a résumé. Save your letter and
resume as one file thru a pdf format. Save it as <NAME>_application&resume.

I’m writing to you about the Front Desk opportunity at (COMPANY NAME), which I found on your
website earlier this week. I am very interested in applying for the position as a Hotel Front Desk with
(COMPANY NAME) and I’m certain that I am the best choice for this job. With my experiences in Front
Desk, receptionist, and housekeeping, I believe that I can step forward in another level of excellence,
and satisfaction, more than I did before in Hilton Hotel which is a challenging opportunity for me.

I have excellent communication skills, I am very efficient and presentable, I have a good personality, I
can manage my time and workload well, I am a strong minded, hard worker, as well as I have the ability
to work individually or within a team setting which can make your hotel stand out.

During my previous job at Hilton Hotel, I greeted and checked in 200+ visitors per night, educated and
trained five front desk clerks in guest service, and, reservations. I make sure to memorize guests’ faces, I
provide personalized service, and balancing $10,000 to $20,000 in cash on a daily basis. I also took
reservations over the phone, by email, through online and in person, and I worked hard to prevent
overbooking. I also worked as a housekeeper for two years in Diamond Hotel, so I’m familiar with the
hotel industry from the ground up. Through that, I've maintained a 97% customer satisfaction rating.

This professional experience has helped me to develop my leadership skills, study the ins and outs of
front-desk hospitality job, establish a friendly, comfortable rapport with guests, and prepare for a career
in management.

In addition, I am confident that my experience, knowledge, and skills match the requirements of the
