University Focus Channels
These are voice channels which anyone can join to study together, you can choose
to have your video on or off.

Channels:

1. #study-chat

This channel is to chat with others from the focus channels, use this space instead
of trying to communicate through video. For example, you can use this channel to
thank someone for their company during a study session.

2. Focus Channel (U)

The focus channels are similar to the zoom rooms where you can study with
other people with or without video. One key difference between the zoom
rooms is that the discord focus channels are capped at 10, 15, or 25 individuals
depending on the room. The capacity is shown to the left of the focus channel
name, as well as how many individuals are currently in the room. For example,
the below focus room has a capacity of 10 and there are currently 8 people
studying there.

Study Pods
Study pods are an area for people to study in smaller groups with the ability to
unmute during breaks, unlike focus rooms where you are muted throughout the
whole duration. This is an opportunity for people to meet others and study together.
The capacity of the study pods ranges from 2 to 10 people.

Channels:

1. #studypod-rules

Read this channel before joining a study pod to get a better understanding of how
they work and to familiarize yourself with the rules.

2. #studypod-chat

Similar to “#study-chat” for the focus channels, “#studypod-chat” is a place to

talk with other students from the study pods. Go to #find-a-studygroup if you're
looking for some groups to study with!

Away From Keyboard (AFK)

The idea of this section is that when you are idle in a Focus Channel or Study Pod, a
moderator can move you to the AFK section, which is the inactive channel. If you
are moved here, you still have the ability to move back to your original voice
channel.

Pre Uni-Discord

for some slight differences such as all the language channels are seen right
away vs having to select a role, there are no study pods just focus channels and
there is a slight variation in the channels that are offered. The Pre-Uni channels
are shown below.
