Abstract
G.E.E.R Cats and Dogs is a meta-search engine that utilizes pet classification techniques to improve the
presentation of search results. After posting a query, the user is offered an opportunity to refine the results by
browsing through a category that focuses on cats and dogs derived from the Open Directory topic hierarchy. This
paper describes some key aspects of the system (including HTML, classification and displaying of results),
outlines the text categorization experiments performed in order to choose the right parameters for classification,
and puts the system into the context of related work on (meta-)search engines. The approach of using a separate
category tree represents an extension of the standard relevance list, and provides a way to refine the search on
need, offering the user a non-imposing, but potentially powerful tool for locating needed information quickly
and efficiently. The current implementation of G.E.E.R. Cats and Dogs Web may be considered a baseline, on
top of which many enhancements are possible.

Introduction
Pets are considered to be man’s companion in everyday life while others treat them as part of the family. There
are different breeds or kinds of animals depending to a person’s liking. In relation to this, the study presents a
search engine about pets specifically on Cats and Dogs. The software system aims to allow users to search for
information through the category that is according to their preferences of breeds on the pets. There are different
features included in the website to be able to give users the better experience while involving themselves in the
virtual world.

The simulation starts off with the user entering his/her personal data as well as the credentials (name and
password). Once that has been verified, the user will now place a question about a cat or dog specifying a certain
breed. Now we get a window that displays the names, description, pictures or other information about the cat or
dog. After the user had found his or her preferred breed or cat, knowledge and experience can be obtained.
The following are the results that we can observe when the system is used:
People can successfully and conveniently find pertinent data about the breed of cats or dogs they
desired to search with the help of the system in the search engine. It saves time for them.
There is a less burden on searching information given that there is a proper managing of the ordering
system process.
This system will be a solution also for individuals having long questions about cats or dogs.
The process was operated as a search engine system wherein there will also have a possibility of not
having mistaken or errors when it comes to the users searching.
People, especially those who loves pets will be helped by using these kinds of systems. Busy bees can now look
through the information they needed to acquire because the search engine offers convenience for them and stress
can be lessened. This can improve a user’s experience to explore knowledge and learn how to use the website
well because they will. However, with all these opportunities, the users still need to take responsibility of the
sources in respect to the authors of the information.
Conclusions
Technologies are very useful in our days. They provide people spaces for exploration of knowledge regarding
the topics they desire to know. Aside from the knowledge it brings to human kind, search engines are being
utilized by professionals to be able to earn a living also. By using the website, the end users will register online,
search information, and obtain the information they need.
To conclude, this search engine is presented to be used as an improvement for utilization of knowledge. It aims
to develop the managerial and operational tasks of owners to further offer a user satisfaction by using the
technology we have.

Search engines are used for research purposes. People are generally looking for answers. They are looking to
find a site to fulfill a specific purpose. These engines are naturally drawn to information-rich, research-oriented
sites and usually. Likewise, this study is used to help individuals to ease their burden in finding answers to their
queries about cats or dogs.
