Although the Ministry has stated its intention to promote and adopt CSA,
there has never been a clearly articulated comprehensive set of protocols
and practices. To address this looming problem, C-SAC®, a tried, field-
tested and trademarked tool and protocol is recommended.
C-SAC®

02 Rationale
CSA is meant to:
1. Improve food security and
agricultural productivity. C-SAC® is designed to address all
2. Increase the resilience of three areas of CSA.
farming systems to climate
change by adaptation.
3. Capture potential mitigation
co-benefits.
These CSA reasons were developed
by International consensus.
UNIDIMENSIONAL PROJECT
This unidimensional project design
has been recognized by international
agencies1 as not being transformative
and as potential avenues for
greenwashing.
1 UN-FAO is currently funding a review of these unidimensional projects to gather lessons learnt
to inform the design of transformative projects.
The listed barriers (or the problem) will be removed with the national
adoption of the tried, field-tested, scalable, user-friendly, comprehensive C-
SAC® tool and protocol. C-SAC® comprehensively addresses the five
components of CSA along with the stated secondary issues.

There are 10 additional benefits of the national adoption of C-SAC®. These are
outlined below. However, the list is not exhaustive.
