Introduction
• Nuclear medicine is the field of medicine that uses
radioactive materials in the diagnosis and treatment of
disease. “ theranostics ”
• This includes the administration of the radiopharmaceuticals
to patients for the therapeutic and/or imaging of the
radiopharmaceutical distribution in an organ of interest
within the patient.
• The practice of Nuclear Medicine technology encompasses
multidisciplinary skills.
• NM staff must complete didactic & clinical training

Multimodality Imaging Systems

Medical imaging is about to change from stand-alone towards
multimodality imaging

Hybrid:
•SPECT-CT
•PET-CT
•PET-MRI
•MRI-Linac
Tri-modality:
•SPECT-CT-PET
•PET-CT + MRI

Philosophy of my teaching
• I do like the words “ Educator ” instead of “ Lecturer or
teacher ”, because education process is based on an interaction
process
• I always try to prepare the lecture contents in a consistent
manner and should contains all the state-of-art knowledge
• I strongly believe that I should deliver a high quality and updated
lecture contents and prepare student to be a professional
practitioner rather than a good listener.
• It is critical to see my students are graduated with a better/or the same
standards that I hold myself and made my students to feel that their
input is very important and one day they will be my colleagues
• Give students the opportunity to present their skills in an assignment
that emphasizes the skills of giving and effective oral presentation
