I. Task

 Design the horizontal alignment using simple curve for a rural highway with a rollingterrain
 Design speed = 100 KPH
 Use max super elevation rate e = 8%
 Use f from the table.
 Calculate Stationing of main points.
 Calculate the coordinates of full stations and main points
 Draw the alignment and label with important details.
 Tabulate the coordinates of full station and main points from beginning to end

II. Procedure

 Determine the value needed from the given guide.

 Determine the Radius the Curve based on the given velocity.
 Determine Length of Spiral Based from different Criterion.
 Compute for the elements of simple curve such as tangent, chord, length of curve, andothers.
 Determine the Stationing at all main points and full points.
 Determine the coordinates @ the main points and full points. To compute the northing andeasting of the curve, use
trigonometric functions to finalize the required coordinates.
