Hello everybody!

Now it's time for you to do the task for this week, so I invite you to check the instructions below.
Remember that if you need to review a topic, you can always check the course material as many
times as you need. Keep in mind that you have to present this task during week 4.

1. Learning outcome

Unidad 2: Life and achievements

Logro específico de aprendizaje: Al finalizar la unidad, el estudiante describe diversos tipos de

experiencias y logros para desenvolverse en la lengua inglesa a nivel A2+ utilizando gramática y
vocabulario pertinentes.

2. Lesson outcome
At the end of the lesson, you and your team have a conversation about unusual events and
experiences you have had by using the present perfect, past simple and the vocabulary learned
during the week. Record yourselves in a 3-5-minute video.

3. Description
Step 1:
Choose a partner or group of three.
Then make a list of a minimum of 6 unusual events or experiences. Use the following items as
a guide.
FOOD Example: eat something unusual
SHOPPING Example: buy online
SPORT Example: run a marathon
PEOPLE Example: speak to a celebrity
OTHER
OTHER

Step 2:
Choose 6 of those unusual events and make questions with them to ask your partner(s).
Remember to use Present Perfect: Have you ever ...?
E.g. Have you ever eaten something unusual?
Step 3:
Once you have 6 questions, you have to answer them with extra details about the unusual
experience using Simple Past.
For example:
"Yes, I have. When I was about 10 years old, I visited an uncle in Pichanaqui. He had a
house in the fields, and he grew a fruit tree called “Caimito”. I tried the fruit, and it
was sticky but good".
"No, I haven't, but once I visited Chincha and I saw people eating cat meat. It was so
funny, but I only ate chicken.
Step 4:
Take turns asking and answering the “Have you ever....?” questions to practice them like
a conversation. Then, record it for the presentation.

4. Considerations to record the video

Before recording the video
Work in pairs or groups of three.
Keep in mind the time you have for the task.
Use the grammar and vocabulary you have studied during the week.
Avoid using translators and make sure your ideas are coherent.
Practice your pronunciation, intonation, and vocalization.
Use a quiet place to record your conversation.
At the moment of recording the video

Use correct pronunciation, intonation, and vocalization.
Use the correct volume of voice, it should be neither too high nor too low.
