Clinical Interview
Hafsa is 22 years old, female. She has completed her intermediated. She belonged to Urdu
speaking family and have one younger sibling. Her father passed away when she was 18, after
the death of her father her mother is the only earning member in the family.
The client came with the complaint of showing externalize aggression to the extent that it can
harm anyone back home. She is also using abusive language in front of her younger brother and
beating him.
Psychological Evaluation:
In the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) the client’s raw score is 15 which reflects a
minimal level of depression. It indicates that she has mild symptoms of depression
Rotter’s Incomplete Sentence Blank (RISB) is a semi-projective personality test that provides a
picture of the client as an adjusted person. She obtained a raw score of 140 on it, whereas the
cut-off score of the test is 135 which shows that the client is non-adjusted in her environment. A
qualitative interpretation of her protocol is provided below:
Familial attitudes:
The familial relationship seems good in the life of the client. She feels that a mother is a very
important person in life and is someone with whom you can speak openly. The protocol also
indicates that the client has somewhat good relationship with her father when he was alive. For
her home is a place where you can find peace, and happiness to share with siblings
The protocol indicates that the client was very happy in her childhood and had few friends too.
She loved to go to school and do reading especially English novels. The client does not like to do
gossips like all other girls or women.
General Attitude:
The protocol reveals that the client is does not have good perspective of the future. Although she
only want to spend time at home and be home rather than somewhere else. She felt low that she
does not have the power to do anything and she does not want to get married. The protocol also
showed that she loves pets and hates those individuals who hit and kill them.
Character Traits:
The client’s character traits reveal that she is kind but tense and depressed too. Now, she is at the
stage of life where she only wants to spend time at home and do nothing at all. Although she gets
aggressive very easily and starts hitting things the wall or herself.
The HFD protocol of the client shows that she has castration fear and has a strong need for love
and affection. The client’s drawing also shows that she has externalized aggression, immaturity,
dependency, and helplessness.
Conclusion:
To conclude the following report, the client has very low feelings about her life and has
externalized aggression issues. She is in need of attention and love.
Recommendation
Psychotherapy is recommended, where a therapist will work on her low mood and
aggression.
Also deep breathing or exercise is recommended to calm herself down.
CBT is recommended for depression.
Psychoanalysis is recommended to determine the experiences from the past.
A proper diet and sleeping routine plan is also required.
