Impact of this course in term of personality:
I felt very happy and excited because I know that my skin is getting better and better day by day.
Facial problems like acne and pigmentation sure effect my mood swing and personality. But
after knowing that my face is getting better and healthier, I tend to feel happier and confidence.
This course also has changed my way of thinking that I was born with bad skin to thinking that
every problem have their own solution, I just need to find the correct ways or strategy to
counterback it. I become more careful on things or product that I use or wear on my skin.
Impact of this course in term of self-care:
I have hectic schedules. It can be difficult to commit to "me" time when you can unwind without
the distractions of your hectic schedule whether caring for family members, satisfying the
obligations of 9-to-5, keeping up with my social life, and/or educational duties. Before, I tend to
take skincare and taking care of my skin for granted. This, is because I tend to think that I am too
young for my skin to start aging. Luckily after taking this course, I know that the skin will start
aging day by day regards of what age and gender a person are. By that, I start to know my
product and what to and not to wear on my skin. I slowly start to reorganized back my skincare
routine using the correct product. Besides from choosing the correct product that might not harm
my skin, I tend to start living a healthy lifestyle. I try to exercise at least two or three times a
week and eat healthy food. A daily skin care can help me feel better about myself (and my skin),
which can lead to happiness in other areas of my life. My skin starts to show positive effects.
Impact of this course in term of self-confident:
When we meet and speak with new people, our facial skin and eyes are the first things they
notice. It can affect how I feel about ourselves if I have puffiness, discolouration, bagginess,
wrinkles, or a lack of brightness. It more or less will give negative effects to my self-confidents. I
tend to avoid eye contact or talking face-to-face regards my facial conditions. After I took this

course, I start to acknowledge the cause of my breakout. I start to be more confident in my own
skin regards it is getting better as I life a healthy lifestyle and wear correct product. I am more
aware on how to tackle the cause of my breakout, like try avoiding polluted area, eat healthy, and
reapply sunblock/ sunscreen every 4-5 hours. This course teaches me that I am not the only
person that face the same problems. It helps me to talk in big groups and help me to overcome
my fears of people judging, because I know that these problems can be solve with the correct
methods and ways. Now I can talk and walk with confidence.
Future hopes:
My hopes are for everyone to start and be able to understand their own skin type. This is because
buying the wrong product or skincare regime may cause no effect on skin or making it worse.
Besides from blaming the product that causing acne and pigmentation, an individual should take
note that acne may be caused by a variety of factors, bacteria, cosmetics, air population, lack of
sleep, stress, diet, genetic, hormone, and medicine/drugs. While pigmentation is due to high
exposure to direct sunlight (UV light), scars, genetics, and vitiligo (loss of pigment on skin).
Skin diseases like skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, warts, vitiligo, and severe acne should take an
extra step on going to the doctors regarding their skin condition. Next, I also hope that people
are more aware regarding the chemical used in a product. The reason is there are a lot of
products that use the mixture of unhealthy and toxic chemicals. Example of chemicals that can
be harmful are Propylene Glycol, DMDM Hydrantoin, Sodium Laurel Sulfate, Synthetic Colors,
Synthetic fragrances, and Methyl, Propyl, Butyl, and Ethyl Paraben. These harmful chemicals
may be very toxic to the skin, result in allergic/skin reactions, cancer, and a few symptoms like
headache, dizziness, rashes, violent coughing, vomiting, skin irritations. The skin is very
vulnerable, especially the ones located on our faces. I also hope that everyone including myself
to take good care of my own diet by living a healthy lifestyle and eat good food.
