E.E. Cummings was a very unique writer and he has a different style of writing poetry. His
format is different, his graphical elements that the use were different also. It also has unusual line
breaks, punctuation, capitalization, spacing and many other.

The purpose of the authors to Stop! Listen to elders because the elders come with wisdom
or should I say more experience and they know what they are talking about compared to the younger.
He wants to warn the youth to listen and be respectful. Don’t do anything on their own way because
their way may not always be the right way.
The main idea of this piece is:
I assume that the main idea of this poem is something about aging process. Our age sticks
with you and you are not getting younger.

The message (or theme) of this selection which the author would like us to “take away” is:
Old age sticks with you, so therefore old people must upkeep as much as they can.
The author’s message towards this poem is maybe he tries to conveys the message of the
old age to the youth that they should learn to respect elders and stop rushing of grow so fast.
