Position Summary

you able to quickly switch between several high priority tasks while maintaining focus?
We are looking to expand our Solution Consulting team within the Applied Innovation
group at Infor.
For this position, we are seeking a highly motivated individual that will be working as
part of a multi-discipline global team of Solution Consultants & Service Delivery to
come up with new innovative ways of demoing and selling our software. You will be
responsible for understanding customer business requirements, figuring out the best
way to meet these requirements and present a solution that plays on our technological
strengths.

To be successful in the Solution Consulting team you need to become an expert in Infor
technology as well as staying on top of industry standards and best practices. You will
also need a can-do attitude, a strong inner drive and have a genuine love of technology.
We need you to be a team player, that require you to be working closely with Infor’s
Account Executives, Sales Management, Value Engineering team, Services Consultants,
and Channel Partner teams on sales strategy, deal qualification, solution demonstration,
solution design, Proof of Concepts, and preparation of proposals and responses to
customers but you will get the opportunity to shine as well. Since we are providing a
service in this customer facing role, it is important that you like working with people.

Your Responsibilities Include

 There are four major roles that the Solution Consultant needs to play –
Trusted Advisor, Technical Subject Matter Expert, Presales Consultant, and
Technology Evangelist.
 Understand the technology landscape of the customer - what systems are
they using, what are their technology preferences and limitations, do they
have a cloud point-of-view, understand the customer’s technology decision-
making process.
 Understand customer’s business priorities - what are the motivations, what is
their growth or cost optimization strategy, how does regulation affect their
business.
 Identify key stakeholders in the customer and establish working
communication with them to be able to share Infor’s point-of-view and gain
deeper insight.
 Develop documentation that reflects understanding of customers’ priorities,
landscape, and requirements.
 Build level of expertise in Infor Technology / Cloud.
 Collaborate on Customer opportunities with Infor Sales, Pre-Sales and
Product Management communities.
 Deliver an outstanding customer experience in the sales cycle.
Knowledge And Skills, You Bring To The Organization

 Bachelor's degree in business, software engineering, computer science or


equivalent.
 This position typically requires up to 24 months of prior business Solution
Consulting / Services experience.
 Strong technical background with an understanding of Cloud, Integration,
API, Machine Learning, and/or Analytics.
 Must have good understanding of how systems in an Enterprise level
communicate and work with each other or 3rd party systems.
 Understanding technology aspects like databases, networking, APIs, web
services, Script/Web-based Programming such as Python or XLST, etc. would
be a bonus.
 A strong customer focus and excellent communication skills, able to
articulate messages very clearly. You are a storyteller.
 Enthusiasm and ability to present complex technology in detail or simply
depending on the audience which could range from CIO down to end users,
therefore comfortable in delivering quality presentations in person and
remotely.
 50+% travelling within the APAC region. (AU/NZ and surrounding countries)
 Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
 Proficient problem solving, interviewing and fact-finding skills; capable of
lateral thinking to come up with new innovative ways of selling our software.
 Curiosity, willingness, and ability to continuously learn new areas, with a
passion for innovative technologies.
 Self-starter with the ability to work and learn independently as well as in
(virtual) teams. To get a specific job done may require working together with
many colleagues, partners, and customers.
 Own the technical responses for proposals or request for information
(RFPs/RFIs) in partnership with the broader Solution Consulting team.
 Knowledge of Infor products (application and technology) is an advantage.
 Basic knowledge/understanding of ERP and general knowledge of
manufacturing business processes an advantage as this makes it easier to
understand customer issues and explain how Infor technology can help
them.
 We operate in a global environment and support Solution Consulting
globally. You may be required to work odd hours on occasion to support our
team in other geographic locations.
