Petron Corporation is considered as the largest oil refining and market company that provides the
country's oil requirements. It is also a leading oil supplier in the Malaysian Market, wherein it has already
combined a refining capacity of 268,000 barrels per day. it is known to be a best oil company for both
Philippines and Malaysia, given that that it can produces full range world class fuels with petrochemicals, It
became remarkable especially in the lives of every Filipinos.
As greatly formulated, tested, and produced locally and internationally, Petron corporation is
extending its premium line of engine oils. It has exceeded the global standards with unique capability to
formulate additives. In Malaysia, petron contemplates a notable corporation which integrated refining,
marketing, and distribution. This is committed in the entire management in giving full-service experiences.

Petron Corporation has a total of 32 facilities all over the archipelago. Thus, the corporation come up
with two transportation system such as road transport and marine transport
Road Transportation
The premium fuels are being transported via land tank trunks and delivered to over 2,400 service
stations and critical industries. Safety and Efficiency are the two major concerns of Petron corporation. They
are outfitted with cutting-edge technology to ensure that our high-quality products reach you in perfect
condition and on time.
Marine Transportation
For Marine Delivery, products or premium fuels delivers to over 30 terminals for storages. It uses
vessels and barges for security. the system has partnered with the leading marine transport firms to ensure
quality and continuity.
• HUMAN RESOURCES
Division of the respective tasks within the Human Resource Department of the Petron corporation are
dealing with different issues such as the workforce planning, trainings, and outsourcing human strategies
(transportation of oil supplies and other provision of products. Each department, Comprising the HR
department of the company is composed of numerous professionals and employees such as HR associate
(Recruitment), HR Associate (Training), Accounting Clerk or Accountant, Administrative assistant, Area
Engineer, Area Sales executive, Budget and Economics engineer, Business planning Analyst, Marketing and
Procurement Associate and others.
With the intensive capital and required substantial capital expenditures, Petron Corporation incurred
a significant debt to finance and its capital projects which creates a huge portion due in five years or less. It
had a 68.1 billion of long-term debt in the year 2016. This led the corporation to completely plan a capital
expenditure projects with debt servicing obligations. It will generate sufficient cash flows from operations and
finally obtain adequate additional financing. To draw the inference, the failure of finance of the Petron
corporation with its successful planned capital expenditure could have a negative impact on overall business,
as well as the financial conditions and operating systems.
• MARKETING
In the new marketing campaign of Petron, the value of their pride for being the country's biggest and only
Filipino oil refiners have taken up to the next level. They are taking the customer delight to produce world
class products, exciting rewards and privileges and quality service.
• OPERATIONS
In terms of providing a good quality of their products, Petron can operate advanced refineries in the
region. Their source of crude oil came from the Middle east, which can produce 180,000 barrel per day
through Patron Bataan Refinery. the usage of Crude oil is considered as a raw material for the given products
namely LPG, diesel, and gasoline.
These products by Petron uses heat as the main component for separation. Other light substances
like Naphta, can be boiled more easily at the top distillation column. For heavier components such as fuel oil,
it can be collected at the bottom of the column. All of these products go through additional processes while
meeting high quality and environmental requirements. This is how the corporation create a premium fuel with
the most stringent emission standards.

The indicated organizational chart above of the Petron Corporation has a compliance with the voting
interests between subsidiaries and affiliates. The chart also acquires a required tender of offers to the other
shareholders.
E. REFLECTION/CONCLUSION
The vision of the Petron corporation is what it drives it functionality and effectiveness for improving more
all aspects of product services. It helps the community in fulfilling outstanding performance and objectives
with corporate strategies. Out of all the gathered information and factors in the company, organizational
structure serves as a guide to cater the people, including the employees, in a most specific and possible way.
The actions need to be taken such as the workforce and the execution of strategic plans come up with their
expertise with the best result. However, Petron does not limits their flexibility in doing tasks. it will still face
turbulence, specifically in the operational system but despite with the challenges on the production side,
Petron Corporation are open to adapt to the market situation while maintaining profitability and efficiency with
the best interest.

The corporation is regarded as the country's leading real estate and property developer.
The real estate began to be partnered in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. It now provides a property
format that includes several establishments such as residences, malls, offices, and leisure. All of it promotes
job creation and local economic growth.
The development necessitates the use of resources: Water, energy, and materials (steel and cement).

Fortune Tobacco Corporation was founded by a Chinese-born Filipino named Lucio Tan (Lucio Tan
| Filipino Entrepreneur, n.d.). He first studied chemical engineering at the Far Eastern University of Manila
before founding the company. He also worked as a janitor in a cigarette factory before being promoted to
tobacco cook. Lucio Tan eventually established his own tobacco company, Fortune Tobacco Corp., in
1966.In only 15 years, the company grew to become the largest cigarette manufacturer in the country. During
2010, Philip Morris International and Fortune Tobacco Corporation collaborated on an agreement to merge
their business operations into a new company called PMFTC Incorporated.
The history of Lucio Tan's Fortune Tobacco Company demonstrates that even a successful business
can be started from humble beginnings. Lucio Tan's learnings and experience as a janitor up to his job as a
tobacco cook inspired him to start his own business. Using your acquired knowledge and adding an
innovation or unique approach to it could lead to business success. Furthermore, achieving a specific goal
should not be the end of the line, wherein a business should continue to demonstrate its competitiveness
towards other companies.

Fortune Tabacco Corporation is quite an interesting business because up to this day, it revolves
around the attainment of legal status. It also demonstrates a profile with a modern corporation, given that it
is founded in 1965. Although it disregards the safety of the people from having a healthy living, the
management of Fortune Tabacco is effective while conforming social norms.
