CHECK AND DIAGNOSTICS

If a fail message occurs during start-up of the
processor serveral procedures can be carried out to
identify the cause of the failure.

Make the service checks as described in this

"FAIL NOT FOUND"

If initialization fails because of a missing or bad
connection to the HPU board an error message is
displayed.

The processor will try to initialize 3 times and then

it turns into off mode.

Pushing the stand-by key switches the processor

into a "safe" mode from where you will have to do
the following:

• Turn the processor off.

• Check that all cables between circuit boards

(especially the circuit boards which are displayed
in the error display) are properly connected.

• Turn on the processor.

• Press the Stand-by key.

If initialization still fails turn the processor into the
"SAFE" mode from where you have access to the
configuration parameters. See next page.
