DESCRIPTION OF CONTENTS :
We further submit herewith the information regarding the PE pipe for Seawater Supply System and our
response to comments as listed below for your review and approval.
1. Please refer to Appendix A regarding our proposed PE pipes to be used in the seawater supply
system.
2. Please refer to Appendix B for the proposed independent inspection authority.
3. The origin of the material is Germany.
4. Please refer to Appendix C for pigment dispersion, material density and slow crack growth test
reports.
5. We noted that there is no job reference under HKIA project of pipes being used in
underground. However, the proposed PE pipe have been used and approved under CEDD, ASD,
WSD and DSD projects. Please refer to Appendix D for job reference and approval letters.
6. Noted.
7. Please refer to Appendix E regarding the test results for the multi-coloured pipes.

missing.(only testing criteria is presented in the documents).

COMMENTS:
We have no objection to the proposed “GFD/ China” PE 100 PE pipes & fittings and “Lesso/ China” PE 100 PE
pipes accessories for flushing water system use in ARE Store & OF, subject to the followings:
1. Please confirm your compliance in the submitted compliance list and state clearly the reason of
any non-compliance.
2. Electrofusion joint fitting instead of thermo fusion joint fitting shall be provided as per GMWS
clause 95.3.6 (b)(i) requirements. Please check and provide substantiation for your compliance.
3. Please highlight selected fittings size in the catalogue.
4. Please clarify that if socket fusion joint fittings shall only be applied for final connection to sanitary
fitments / fittings to suit the jointing connection.
5. Test certificate and Country of origin for “Lesso” pipes accessories shall be provided.
