PROJECT – 3 - TOPIC: - RADIO JINGLE /ADVERTISING

INSTRUCTIONS:

Students will have to write a commercial jingle using an advertising slogan

about a particular product. The purpose of a jingle is to relay important
information about the product unforgettably. This is often accomplished by
combining a short message with a catchy tune that people are likely to
remember.
➢ Decide on the product or topic you want to discuss in your jingle. Write down
three or four main points that you want to mention in your jingle.
➢ Create a rhyme or wordplay that includes your main points. Be creative and
strive to make it compelling.
➢ Choose a tune for your jingle, or if you feel up to it, create your music.
Remember, a catchy tune makes the difference between a memorable tune
and an unmemorable one. There is an abundance of royalty-free music
available online.
➢ Decide whether you want to produce your jingle by singing it or playing it.
Practice your jingle a few times. You may then choose to make a video, or
you can create a PowerPoint with sound and photos.
➢ Film your commercial using a video camera or webcam or put together your
PowerPoint presentation by combining various photos with your audio jingle.

MAIN CRAFT & SERVICES

CATEGORY 1: HEALTH AND HYGIENE

I. Growing of a Medicinal Plant

➢ Research on a common medicinal plant.

➢ Your research should include the following points: medicinal properties
exhibited, ailments that it can cure, active ingredients that help cure the
ailments, the form in which it can be consumed or used, conditions required for
the growth of the plant, and any other important feature related to the plant.
➢ Grow the medicinal plant at home. Share a picture of the plant grown by you as
a part of the project.

CATEGORY 2: FOOD

Cooking

➢ Research on the cereal, Wheat, which is a staple food in India.

 ➢ Your research should include the following points: the conditions required for
the growth of the plant, regions growing wheat in Karnataka, various products
of wheat, a list of a few recipes made from wheat/wheat products, and the
health benefits of consuming wheat and wheat products.
➢ Include 2-4 pictures of you making chapatti or bread along with the project.

CATEGORY 3: CLOTHING

Production of Cotton

➢ Research on the production of cotton and linen

➢ Your research should include various types of cotton grown in Karnataka, the
conditions required for the growth of the plant, the process of production of
linen from cotton, properties, and uses of linen.
➢ You will be required to make a cotton mask. Include 2-4 pictures of you making
a mask along with the project. You will be required to submit the mask at school
as evidence. The masks will be donated to the needy.

Art and Craft

➢ All the Grade 9 students will be making a Cloth Duster.

➢ Dimension of the Duster should be 15 X 15 cm.

The students should initiate a cleanliness drive in their neighbourhood/ school and
prepare a report of 250 words along with 6 photographs based on the activities
conducted. This may also include putting up posters and spreading awareness in the
neighbourhood/school.

CATEGORY 2. CULTURAL AND RECREATIONAL

All the students of Grade 9 will paint 4 Diya’s and pack them neatly. Each student will
make one such set. (4 medium size similar design diyas)

➢ The students who undertake the Art and Craft project will be required to
submit the mask or the art/craft article at school by the first week of
January 2023.
