MARKET ANALYSIS OF COCA-COLA USING SWOT

One of the most well-known brands in the world and a market leader in the soft
drink sector is Coca-Cola. Coca-Cola appears to be available everywhere,
including at restaurants, hotels, offices, and shops. Considering that the brand's
emblem is red and white, 94% of people worldwide are aware of it (Foster,
2014). Additionally, the corporation offers over 10,000 soft drinks, which are
consumed every second. John Pemberton founded it in Atlanta in 1886, and
within a few years it had gained worldwide notoriety and was widely
distributed. James Quincey serves as the company's current CEO.
SWOT ANALYSIS
STRENGTH
 A powerful brand identity - A logo aids in building brand identification
by conveying the company's mission, vision, and values as well as
promoting its goods and services. The Coca-Cola logo's unique feature of
not highlighting the product the corporation sells is one of its most
intriguing features. However, customers from all over the world are
familiar with the Coca-Cola brand and its products.
Love, passion, purity, and humility are all depicted in the Coca-Cola
brand's visual identity.

 Extended global reach - The company's products are consumed in 1.9

billion servings daily and are sold in more than 200 countries. Over 500
new products have been presented by it internationally. Every lifestyle
and demographic are recognized to be affected by its brands.

 Greatest brand connection and consumer loyalty - Coca-Cola is

regarded as one of the US's most emotionally-connected brands. This
priceless brand is linked to "happiness" and enjoys high consumer
loyalty. Customers are able to detect their distinctive tastes fast. For
them, it is tough to find alternatives.

 Dominant market share - Of the only two biggest producers of soft

drinks in the beverage industry, Coca-Cola and Pepsi, Coca-Cola has the
highest market share. The Coca-Cola brands with the highest growth rates
are Coke, Sprite, Diet Coke, and Fanta.

WEAKNESS
 Low product diversification - Unlike Pepsi Co., which has expanded
into the food business and manufactures snacks like Lays, Doritos, and
Ruffles, the Coca-Cola Company has little product diversity because it
only serves the beverage market. Pepsi now has the upper hand over
Coca-Cola.

 Health issues - One of the main sources of sugar intake is carbonated

beverages. Obesity and diabetes are the two serious health problems it
causes. The largest producer of carbonated beverages is Coca-Cola. The
usage of these soft drinks has been outlawed by many health authorities.
It is a heated topic for the business. Coca-Cola hasn't yet come up with a
healthy alternative or fix for this issue, though.

 Aggressive rivalry with Pepsi - Pepsi is Coca- Cola's main competitor.

Coca-Cola would have been the beverage's undisputed market leader if
Pepsi had not entered into the market.
