GENERAL INFORMATION: Suzuki immobilizer systems have idle times of approximately 2
minutes between the programming operations or between one ignition and another. The
SDD/SBB must therefore be disconnected for 2 minutes between one programming operation
and another or between one ignition and another.

SELECTING THE CAR MAKE


In this case SDD/SBB is able to recognize automatically the various central units connected and
therefore use the right communication procedure.
Simply identify:
- CAR MODEL
- YEAR OF MANUFACTURE
- SUZUKI -
ALTO (96-02)
BALENO (96- )
IGNIS (00- )
> JIMNY (99-02)

- Use the arrow keys to select the make, then press ENTER.
- Press ESC to quit.

TYPE A IMMOBILIZER FUNCTIONS MENU (56)


This section is used to carry out the functions provided, in particular:
- programme new keys in the immobilizer also when all the original keys are missing;
- erase from the memory the code of one or more missing keys;
- check how many keys have been memorized;
ATTENTION: the programming system for TYPE A SUZUKI is structured so that keys can be added
individually in the vehicle.

The SUZUKI functions menu is structured as follows:

- SUZUKI -
> PROG. NEW KEYS
ERASE ALL KEYS
No. KEYS MEM.

- Select and press ENTER.

1.1 PROGRAMMING KEYS A


This function is used to add keys to the immobilizer. The system can store up to a total of 4
keys; if 4 keys are already stored in the memory, new ones cannot be added.
- To activate the function, select “PROGRAMM.KEYS” and press ENTER:
The display will show:

Turn ignition on

Press any key...

- Insert the new key to be programmed into the ignition unit


- Turn the key to ON
- Press any key to continue

If errors occur during communication, the display will show msg [ERROR 04 or ERROR 05] (see
Ch. ERROR MESSAGES” in the User’s Manual); if not the display will show:

The key has been programmed successfully.


- Press ENTER to continue with programming another key (max. 4).
- Press ESC to quit.

KEY TESTING
ATTENTION: to check whether the memorized keys work, do an ignition test on the vehicle; if the
result is negative, repeat the operation.

TYPE B IMMOBILIZER FUNCTIONS MENU (47)


This section is used to carry out the functions provided, in particular to:
- programme new keys in the immobilizer also when all the original keys are missing;
- erase from the memory the code for one or more missing keys;
- check how many keys are in the memory;
- view immobilizer identification (IMMO ID), V.I.N. and mechanical code (only on certain
models);
- erase any anomalies found in the immobilizer memory.

ATTENTION: the structure of the programming system for SUZUKI TYPE B allows keys to be added
individually in the vehicle.

This function is used to add keys to the immobilizer.
Is not possible to erase keys individually on the vehicle.
- To activate the function, select "PROGRAMM.KEYS" and press ENTER:

This function is used to add a key that has never been programmed in the immobilizer.
- Select "ADD NEW KEYS" and press ENTER; the display will show:

- Yes, to programme the new key.

This function is used to add a key that was previously erased in the immobilizer.
- Select "ADD OLD KEY" and press ENTER; the display will show:

1.2.3 ERASING ALL KEYS


This function is used to erase all the keys stored in the immobilizer memory; to continue enter
the PIN CODE.
- "ERASE ALL KEYS" from the “PROGRAMM. KEYS” menu and press ENTER.
The display will show:
- ERASE ALL KEYS -
All keys will be
erased.

- Yes, to erase all the keys stored in the immobilizer memory.

TYPE C IMMOBILIZER FUNCTIONS MENU (60)
In this section you can carry out the functions provided, particularly:
- programme new keys in the immobilizer even if all the original keys are missing;
- check how many keys are in the memory;
ATTENZIONE: the programming system for SUZUKI® TYPE C, is structured so that keys CANNOT be
added individually. At each programming session all the keys that are to be used on the
vehicle must be re-programmed.
The functions menu for SUZUKI® is structured as follows:

- SUZUKI -
> PROG. NEW KEYS
No. KEYS MEM.

Select and press ENTER.

1.3 PROGRAMMING C KEYS


This function is used to add keys to the immobilizer. The system can memorize up to a total of 4
keys. If the system has already memorized 4 keys, new ones cannot be added.
- To activate the function, select “PROGRAMME KEYS” and press ENTER:

KEY TEST
ATTENTION: to check that the memorized keys work properly, disconnect SDD/SBB and turn the
ignition for the vehicle with all the programmed keys. Wait 30 seconds between keys and
if one or more of the keys does not start the vehicle, repeat the operation for
programming new keys.
