QUESTION # 01
ANSWER
How did educational technology help teachers and students to achieve SLOs?
SLOs:
A teacher or group of teachers develops a long-term academic goal or collection of goals
utilizing information about student’s progress over a specific period of time. This long-term
goal is known as a student learning objective. In many places, including Maine, SLOs are a
part of the evaluation of teachers. SLOs encourage professional reflection on the impact of
classroom practice on student learning as well as collaboration among teachers and a focus on
student learning.
The world in which we live is so heavily dependent on technology. The usage of technology
is now necessary for a large number of vocations that weren't in the past. Compared to
previous years, there are now computers in a lot more homes, and more and more individuals
are proficient in using them. Both kids and adults use technology every day in a variety of
ways, including web browsing, texting, social networking, interactive gaming, and more. We
live in a technologically advanced world that is increasingly reliant on its use. Therefore,
utilizing technology and requiring students to do so has been elevated to a high priority in
public schools.
Today, increasing student accomplishment while utilizing technology as a tool is a prevalent
goal. The use of technology in teaching and learning is crucial if we are to have a long-lasting
impact on students' learning because of how widely it is used in our society.
The use of technology enhances student learning. Students that use technology are more
engaged, which results in greater learning retention. Technology is significant to students
because new technologies are emerging quickly on a worldwide scale. Technology offers
valuable educational opportunities. Additionally, technology offers experiential learning
possibilities that can be incorporated into all academic topics taught in schools, including
math, reading, science, and social studies. It gives pupils the chance to work together with
their peers so that they can benefit from one another. These elements working together can
have a favorable effect on the motivation and learning of students.
The fact that technology is becoming such a big part of our daily lives is another reason it
helps with learning. Additionally, both adults and students often use technology to
communicate and obtain information in various ways. The widespread everyday usage of
technology in society as a whole makes it very relevant to kids and creates a relationship that
will significantly enhance student learning.
A long time ago, books were the only source of useful learning materials. However, access to
a wealth of online educational materials and the most recent web content is now made
possible via instructional tools, guaranteeing that the knowledge being taught is recent and
appropriate.

QUESTION # 02
How is educational technology helpful in the administration of education?
ANSWER
Technology can help teachers in enhancing student performance. Administrators should assist
instructors in gaining the skills necessary to upgrade student learning through technology in
order to lessen the difficulties. The use of technology in the classroom should also facilitate
teachers' tasks without adding to their daily workload.
Technology offers students easy access to knowledge, immediate learning, and enjoyable
opportunities to put what they have learned into practice.

 Some benefits of technology in education are given

1. Collaboration and communication have increased.
Collaboration can be encouraged by educational technologies. Students can interact with one
another throughout lessons in addition to engaging with teachers. Students have the
opportunity to cooperate to solve challenges through online classes and educational activities.
Students can encourage one another and share ideas by combining activities. Technology also
makes it possible for students to interact directly with teachers. Students can look for more
encouragement on concepts that are challenging to understand as well as express questions
about the classroom. Students can upload their schoolwork at home, and teachers can use
laptops to access and view completed assignments.
2. Options for Personalized Learning
Always access to instructional information is made possible by technology. by using a laptop
or mobile, classes can be taken online. Lessons can be developed by teachers using the
interests and skills of their students. Students can learn at their own pace, which is an
additional advantage. Students can watch easily lesson plan videos when they need to revise
the content covered in class to comprehend key ideas better.
3. Individuals regarding Sparked by Interesting Material
Teachers can encourage children's curiosity and inquisitiveness through entertaining and
instructive content, which, according to research, is linked to academic performance.
Students that are learning math and reading subjects more effectively. AR, videos, and
podcasts may all be used to create compelling content. Students can engage with peers from
around the world or add films to their assignments, for instance.
4. effectiveness and productivity of teachers is increased
Teachers may use technology to boost productivity, apply practical digital tools to promote
student learning opportunities and boost engagement and support from students. Additionally,
it gives teachers the ability to customize learning and enhance their teaching strategies. By
lowering the cost of physical teaching materials, improving the effectiveness of educational
programs, and making the most use of instructor time, technology can assist schools.

 Different technologies and their benefits in education:

1) SIS to facilitate a smooth interaction between students and faculty
One of an institution's most significant constituencies is its student body, so universities must
choose strategies that allow students to concentrate solely on their coursework rather than
taking part in routine duties and activities. One of the top technologies assisting numerous
institutions in creating a systematic workflow of all the activities related to a student is a
student information system. Institutions that have a student information system can access
and complete admission applications using a portal or mobile application. Additionally,
institutions have access to all of the daily actions that students engage in, from their
attendance to all other activities that are vital for the institution's and the student’s general
progress.
2) Immersive education for better learning results
Learning and teaching are not simply limited to classrooms and textbooks in the modern era
of technology. The students of today's generation engaging a learning environment that can
satisfy their curiosities with useful answers.
3) Gamification for entertainment and modern education
Any age group's first preference has always been video games, but what if teachers and
students could both study and teach utilizing current technology? Using various electronic
games, classrooms can now be personified to make lessons more dynamic and intelligible as
well as to increase participation, encouragement, and teamwork. Technology is transforming
every element of life.

 How to use technology to improve learning

The following are some ways that technology could be used more effectively to enhance
education:

 Teachers are urged to define learning objectives and differentiate instruction based on
the needs of their pupils given the prevalence of student databases that may monitor
individual development.
 Every time a teacher uses technology to deliver education, they should do so in a
manner that is appropriate for the goals, the learning style, the mode, and the
technology is chosen.
 Technology-based instruction must be evaluated using procedures that are appropriate
for the methods of instruction, the objectives, and the technology.
 When assessing students' learning and the contribution of technology to that process,
teachers might create follow-up activities.
Overall, technology plays a significant role in many aspects of society, and its incorporation
into the educational process has enormous learning potential for students. One might
anticipate greater efficacy and efficiency from both teachers and pupils as a result of
technology. Additionally, technology can encourage pedagogical reform and solve problems
that impact teaching, learning, and social structure. Therefore, it is possible to think of
technology as both a tool and a force for change. Technology should be embraced by students
for their own benefit, and teachers should be willing to use it in the classroom to enhance and
innovate their teaching methods.

QUESTION # 03
ANSWER
What are different modes of learning online why technology is essential to partner even
though we have other traditional learning methods?
1) Distance learning
also known as distance education, involve the physical separation of teachers and students
during instruction and the use of various technologies to promote student-teacher and student-
student communication. Distance learning has historically targeted unconventional learners,
such as full-time employees, military personnel, nonresidents, or people living in remote
areas who are unable to attend lectures in a classroom. However, statistics indicate that
distance learning will continue to increase and is already a recognized component of the
education system.
Advantages of Distance Learning
 Flexibility
 Easy access
 Less cost

2) Cyber Education
It is a completely virtual, online school.  With this model, students can complete their high
school education by taking a full course load online from home while earning a diploma,
degree, or certificate.
Advantages of Cyber School
 Parents can work with children.
 Students have a more flexible schedule.
 Students can work at their own pace.
 more individualized attention.
3) Blended learning
An educational approach that combines traditional face-to-face instruction with electronic
and online learning.
Advantages of blended learning
 The safer setting for learning
 dynamic educational process
 student autonomy
 increased student involvement
 greater understanding

4) online public education k-12

K12-powered public schools are tuition-free online public schools, meaning they are free for
students to attend. As public schools, they're funded through allocations of local, state, and
federal tax revenue.
5) E-learning
is a formalized teaching-based learning system that makes use of electronic resources. E-
learning is primarily based on using computers and the Internet, while teaching can also take
place in or outside of formal classroom settings. The delivery of education to many recipients
at once or at different times is known as e-learning, which is also known as a network-
enabled transfer of skills and knowledge. Earlier, it wasn't fully recognized because it was
thought that this method lacked the human component necessary for learning.
Benefits of e-learning
 Cost-effectiveness
 Save time
 Improves performance and productivity

6) M learning
"Learning in different contexts, through social and content exchanges, using personal
electronic devices" is referred to as "m-learning" or "mobile learning." M-learners employ
mobile device educational technologies at their convenience as a type of remote education.
Mobile phones, tablets, notebooks, MP3 players, and handheld computers are examples of m-
learning technology. The main focus of m-learning is the learner's mobility when interacting
with portable technologies. Informal learning now includes a significant amount of the use of
mobile tools for the creation of learning resources and tools.
Despite how much time most students spend attached to screens, technology cannot, of
course, replace teachers, and virtual learning will never be able to replace the relationship
between teachers and students. Years after graduating from school, no former pupil has ever
written a loving letter to a computer thanking it for going the extra mile to help them achieve
where they are now.
In actuality, improvements in educational technology do not aim to replace educators or even
traditional education techniques. Instead, a lot of present teaching strategies are only a
development of earlier approaches.
Numerous tools are made available by technology to encourage in-person interactions
between teachers and students. In the past, teachers would have covered a question on an
overhead projector with paper and then removed it to disclose the answer. However, modern
educational software has updated these old techniques.
Teachers have always used homework to help students learn as much as possible. However,
other institutions are reversing the process, allowing students to attend lectures outside of the
classroom using technology while completing related assignments during class time, with
teachers present to answer any questions.
In the past, teachers would write home or schedule a session to tell parents about their child's
behavior, which helped to create a more positive learning environment. Teachers can now
give immediate online comments on a student's behavior for everyone to see, including the
parents online.
The learning of traditional education has a fixed time and place but new technology enhanced
education that we can learn from any where and any place.
