W H AT ’ S YO U R

A paradigm can be likened to a program that has been installed in your subconscious mind. It is a mental program
that has almost exclusive control over your habitual behavior—and virtually all of your behavior is habitual.

When you get up in the morning and go to bed at night, you follow a routine. And the way you eat, exercise, work,
relax and the time you wake up and go to sleep are all habits.

The paradigm puts a box around each and every area of your life, and no matter how hard you try, you can’t knock
down the walls until you change the mental program.

If you want to know what your paradigms are, look at your results in each area of your life. The following
exercises will help you determine what your paradigms are and how they may be limiting your life.

PART 1
Answer the following questions. Take a moment to picture your life before you write down your answers:

What do you do when you first wake up each morning? Do you lie there for a while or do you hop out of bed?

How do you spend the first hour of your day?

As you go through the day, do you prioritize your activities? If so, how? If you keep a to-do list, what determines
which activities make the list? Do you have one overriding goal that drives your life?
What’s the most money you’ve ever earned? When did you earn it? Think about why you’ve never earned
more and write your answers down.

PART 2
Fill in the blank for each of the following areas of your life (use the blank lines below if you need more space):

I believe about money,

about relationships, and about health.

Extra space (if needed)

Even though you can never outperform your paradigm, you can change it. The beautiful part is, it’s not a hard,
grinding away, “putting in the hours” kind of work.

It’s studying and raising our awareness of how the mind works. It’s understanding and believing that you can
live a full life that is well beyond the norm. And it is understanding how to introduce yourself to a degree of
living that would never happen for you but for this understanding.
