The entry of aliens who were present in China, excluding the Special Administrative Regions of Hong
Kong and Macau, within 14 days prior to their arrival at the port of entry in the United States is
suspended, per Presidential Proclamation. If you reside in China, have traveled to China recently, or
intend to travel to China prior to your planned trip to the United States, we recommend you postpone
your visa interview appointment until 14 days subsequent to your departure from China.
Be sure to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time. You may not enter the Embassy with any
weapons (including guns or knives), cellular telephones, photographic or video cameras, electronics
such as radios or other equipment, including computers.
Due to limited space inside the Consular Section waiting area, applicants cannot bring anyone with
them (including spouses) to their interview. The only exceptions are minor applicants who should be
accompanied by both parents, and elderly (older than 80 years old) or disabled applicants who need
someone to assist them. Do not bring any type of backpacks, suitcases, boxes nor any other type of
luggage.
If you are renewing your business/tourist visa, be certain you meet all the specified criteria and all your
family members applying meet the same criteria. If not, you will be denied entry.
Minors under the age of 18 must present their birth certificates and school registrations. They must be
accompanied by BOTH parents.
Remember that only employees inside the Embassy can request that you change your visa application
forms. Do not allow anyone outside the Embassy to review or modify your visa application forms.
Please note: As of November 1, 2021, all documents sent or received at most Cargo Expreso branches
will have a cost of USD $11.35 (L. 280.00). This will apply to any new or already in-process visa
applications. If you wish to process your documents at no cost, you must return to your profile at
http://www.ustraveldocs.com/hn and update the document delivery location to Cargo Expreso, which is
marked as “free of charge.” Making this change to your profile is free and can be done directly by
yourself.
If you do not wish to visit a courier location and would like to receive documents directly from a home
or office location for an additional fee, please log in to your profile at http://www.ustraveldocs.com/hn
and select the option “Premium Delivery”, you will need to enter your preferred mailing address on
Cargo Expreso’s dedicated platform.
