time.

SIMPLE PRESENT

Present : S+V+C Auxiliaries: (Do–Does for questions and negative answers).

Affirmative : e.g. I think about it (Lo pienso)


Negative : e.g. I don’t think about it
Interrogative : e.g. Do I think about it?

Third person
Affirmative : e.g. She thinks about it
Negative : e.g. She doesn’t think about it

Exceptions:

At nights, my wife reads or watches TV I always have a little snack. Then I
start work again
Notice that AND may be used with any of the connectives.

Rodney : I’m a chef.
Tina : Hey, that’s great! So what are your working hours like?
Rodney : They´re OK. I work in the afternoons and evenings. I get up around 9 a.m.,

I work from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. I get home very late, about 11 p.m. And I
usually go to bed by 1 in the morning. And what do you do Tina?
Tina : Well, I’m an office manager. It’s a regular nine-to-five office job, so I get up
at
7 a.m. and get home around 6 p.m. I go to bed around midnight on weekends.
Rodney : What about you, Ellen?
Ellen : Well, my job is a bit different – I’m a flight attendant. I start work at six in the
morning, so I have to get up before 5 a.m.
Tina : Wow! That’s too early for me!
Ellen : Then I often have long flights, so I don’t get home until o’clock at night. But I
always go straight to bed – around 10.
