1 Introduction

With the best facilities for bodybuilding and training, gyms have become an
indispensable part of our life. As a result, preserving records of every individual,
including trainers, trainees, and staff, at the management end requires some important
actions. However, maintaining records on paper is quite tough. Therefore, a
computerized system that handles all these difficulties is required. As a result, our
efforts to improve the management system for the gym industry project. As an
automated replacement for the manual system, we have created System for managing
a gymnasium. Additionally, this technology offers superior data security for its user.
( (Gym Management System)
Physical Fitness is attracting people's attention. There are many active exercise
centers, but they lack organization. Only a small percentage of fitness or gym center
use software to administer their websites and keep member information. For people
who own a fitness or gym business, it is suggested to design a fitness management
system. The goal of this project is to make it easier for a gym to automate its record-
keeping and database security procedures. The program will keep track of information
regarding customers, staff, food supplements, services, and other fitness facility
transactions. It is designed to reliably hold a sizable registering system as well as other
functionalities based on user needs. Additionally, it offers the ability to efficiently search
records. (Fahad Usmani)
The goal of this project is to help a gym or fitness center automate its record-keeping
procedures and save the results in a sizable, accessible database. providing quick
access to the staff even more the intent of this software is to provide the user with the
ability to store and retrieve any kind of data with a single mouse click. The program
enables for an interactive, self-descriptive graphical user interface environment that
even allows for highly comfortable and straightforward work from solo users
(projectwoeld, n.d.).

1.1 Current scenario

1.2 Problem statement

Choosing a gym is one of the most difficult things that humans can do because it is
more difficult to manage all the criteria and necessities. The following are some of the
most common mistakes that people make:
• Based on my survey on the current system used by most of the coaches for their
clients, they are using a manual system which is paper based or filing system.
• Heavy manual work will be involved in managing and supporting data if the coach
wants to trace their clients progress and preparation.
• Next, the trainer needs a management system that can ensure the safety of their data
from being lost or accessed by third parties.
• Trainer also needs professional tools that can help them to keep all their conversations
and tasks in one place.

1.3 Project as solution

This application will be created as a solution to the issue. Numerous users of this
program, client can use the system to address problems with ease. Additionally, this
system can resolve a wide range of issues, including
• The development of the gym management system could solve the problem of
member registration by performing the procedure online which is more efficient and less
expensive.
• Security and backup easy to search on computer it removes the manual or paperwork
in the fitness club

• New proposed system allows to user to save record in database and easy way to
make an announcement.
• By the help of system, they can directly contact to the trainer, and they can clear them

1.4 Aim and objectives

The major goal of this project is to supply a workable, efficient, and trustworthy web
based online booking system to make appointments, enhance the quality of services,
and minimize wait times and to make system digitalize

Objective
 To supply software that makes it easier for the gym to store data, maintain data,
and retrieve data.
 To only staff members have access to any databases may make any necessary
modifications.
 To create user-friendly software that effectively manages the connection
between customers and staff.
 To create a simple-to-use system that requires little user training. Most features
and functionality are comparable to those found on any Windows platform.
 To authorize the access, change, and remove any record as well as the service
that the gym offers its patrons are all included in the database used to hold client
information.

2 Structure of Report

 Introduction
The project's scope and aim & objectives are all included in the introduction.

 Background
The background clarifies the project's needs and describes the project and its
target clients, allowing for a better understanding of the project. It is also
beneficial to read about comparable projects and compare this project to similar
projects to have a better knowledge of the components and features.

 Development
Development describes how the project will be developed. It discusses the
approaches that were explored and chosen, as well as the phases of the
methodologies that were chosen. It also displays the various task breakdowns
(WBS) that have been completed and will be completed in a timeline manner
(Gantt chart).

 Analysis of progress
This section describes and evaluates the current progress. It presents the
situation as it stands right now, analyzes it, and proves the development's
progress. The circuit diagram illustrates how hardware and software
development are progressing. Additionally, it presents a plan of action to make
up for lost time and complete the project. It also explains why the project was
falling behind schedule based on the Gantt chart of the proposal.

 Future work

8|Page
The final part, titled "Future Work," describes the phases (development and
documentation) that still need to be finished as well as the strategies for carrying
out and finishing the project.

 Reference
All the references used as sources for this project or report were mentioned in
the references section.

3.2 Methodology
Professionals are guided through their project-based work using a variety of software
development life cycle approaches. The issues of moving from the beginning of the
project to its finish without skipping a step are given structure by the SDLC. Below are
the most popular SDLC methodologies:
a) Waterfall Model
b) Unified Process
c) Agile Methodology
Waterfall model
The first Process Model to be introduced was the Waterfall Model. The term "linear-
sequential life cycle model" is also used to describe it. It is incredibly easy to use and
understand. There is no overlap between phases in a waterfall model; each step must
be finished before the next phase can start. The first SDLC methodology for software
development was the waterfall model. The software development process is depicted
using the waterfall model, which follows a linear sequential flow. This implies that a
phase of development can only start if the one before it is finished. The phases in this
waterfall model don't cross over. (Anon., n.d.)

Unified Process

Agile Methodology

3.2.1 Selection methodology

Rational Unified Process (RUP)

This is a software development process for object-oriented models. A different name
for it is the Unified Process Model. It was made by Rational Corporation, and UML was
used in the design and documentation (Unified Modelling Language). The IBM Rational
Method Composer (RMC) software includes this procedure. With the help of IBM
(International Business Machine Corporation), we may build, create, and alter the
unified process. Ivar Jacobson, Grady Booth, and James Rumbaugh put forth RUP.
Use-case driven, incremental (growth in value) by nature, iterative (process repetition),
distributed online via web technology, adaptable in modular and electronic form, etc. are
some traits of RUP. RUP prevents resource waste and lowers unforeseen development
costs. (22JU)

This is the step of the method where the project idea is first conceived. It basically
focuses on analyzing the project requirements and estimating the resources that go
along with it. This project's first phase consists of:
 Project finalizations develop a detailed execution plan, ensure that the plan goes
ahead as expected, and resolve.
 Requirement gathering found, and then creating a project plan becomes simple.
 Scope valuation a procedure for proving to stakeholders that they have gotten
what was agreed upon and formalizing their approval.
Elaboration
The conditions that were presumptively met in the first stage of development are further
examined in this methodology's second step. Additionally, during this stage of the
project's conception and planning, architecture is done. development. These are the
steps that make up the elaboration phase of my project
 Time evaluation of hardware and software
 Risk assessment of potential calamities during the development
 Software design planning has started.
 A database is designed.

Construction:
The development process is now in its penultimate stage. This stage includes the
primary project development, as its name implies. The finished product of this
development ought to be deployable and ready for usage where needed. Destination.
Coding, documentation, and product testing are required for this. These procedures will
be used to complete the construction phase.
 The project is developed and completed
 system or source code is created and then testing is done.
 coding takes place
 Documentation for the project.

12 | P a g e
Transition:
This is the final stage of this process, and it forms the deployment of the product that
was created during the construction phase. This category includes software installation
and training consumers on how to use the product. This is one of the simplest yet most
important components of our process
 The web app will be made available to users, and feedback will be asked for.
 Based on input, final tweaks and upgrades will be made.
