Problem Statements

Problem Branches, departmental, caregiver, and organizational level gaps

Description Care can also be impacted by organizational gaps between Branches,


departments, caregivers, and various organizational levels. Safety issues
develop when different hospital departments are not communicating
effectively. For instance, some nurses could not be aware of the correct chain
of command, or caregivers might get conflicting information from other
departments. This will become clear if a nurse moves between floors or one
hospital to another and discovers that completely different communication
strategies are used for the same procedures and care.
Effects  No proper communication can lead to confusion
 Information might get mixed up in between the staff and the patient
 Patient might not receive appropriate medication due to lack of
communication skills or proficient communication.
 Procedures might take longer than the required time as they will have
to wait for the right information.
 Overall confusion could cause risk to the health of the patient.
 Patients will have to stick to the same hospital as a detailed view of
their health condition is not present in the reports.

Problem The hospital utilizes a traditional management system or a third-party


application system, which reduces data security and raises the risk of a data
breach.
Description The hospital documents are stored in traditional files, which may cause loss
of files. The loss of data would lead to having to redo all the tests that have
been taken of the patient. It could also cause the risk of data be manipulated
or taken away without the knowledge of the head authority. There is also no
privacy of data as anyone can access the data. Traditional file systems are
typically kept in filling cabinets, which can be incredibly big and heavy. The
cabinets might occupy a lot of room in the office, which can be a major
drawback. Data is also not consistent and there are many redundant data.
Effects  Data is redundant
 Manipulation or loss of data can occur causing a major problem
especially when it comes to healthcare.
 Due to many files stored in one area the appropriate file might not be
found or may takes long hours in acquiring them.

Problem Physical presence in the hospital


Description Patients are unable to view their reports online and would have to physically
be present in the hospital in order to collect the report. The patient either
must return to the hospital another day or would have to wait long hours in
order to retrieve the reports.
Effects  Patients that are unable to makes it to the hospital might not be able
to receive their reports
 Physical reports might get lost or damaged
Challenges after the implementation of the enterprise system

 Cost of Implementation
One of the difficulties is the cost; The cost of implementation is more expensive than the
initial price. The overall cost of implementing an enterprise system in its whole is
determined by the number of users, level of configuration or customization, and license. A
typical enterprise system implementation will cost substantially more due to additional costs
such as subscription fees, maintenance costs, or new hardware. (Donohoe, 2021). The
system that will be required to made should have all the necessary features that would
enable the users and the staff to store data, retrieve data, change data etc. Numerous pieces
of software that must function properly in order to support daily operations are also
included in the cost of customization. In addition, regular maintenance is one of the major
expenses because it's necessary for the system to stay current and avoid flaws.

Conclusion

In essence, the system is more effective and efficient when an enterprise system is used. The
system will allow the staff to enter and store data and for the patients to retrieve the data
effectively. It will also help to secure the patient data so that loss of data or damage of data
does not occur. Additionally, the main server keeps an eye on the entire system to ensure
that the user data is kept private. The transaction of data between the different branches of
the hospitals will take place more efficiently with accurate and precise data of the patients.
Overall the system will help the different branches of the hospital to stay connected and
pass data amongst each other more easily.

problems such as the patient not being able to make it in order to collect the report or the physical
reports being lost, stolen or damaged. Another issues that could arise is the of the patients going to
other branches on the hospital and there could be a possibility of the hospital having the same
patient record could be lower due to the lack of data being shared across the branches of the
hospital.
