PRAY
First, make the sign of the cross on the crucifix, and then pray
the Apostles’ Creed.
In the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, we make this sign of the cross
and say, “Amen.”
The Apostles’ Creed: “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in
Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin
Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died; and was buried.”
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only
Son, Our Lord. He went down into hell; on the third day, He rose again from the dead; He ascended
into heaven;
He sitteth at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from there, He shall come to judge those
who are alive and those who have died.
I have faith in God the Father, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Roman Catholic Church, the
communion of saints, the expiation of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the continuation of life
beyond death. Amen.
2. Recite an Our Father prayer when you get to the first bead.
Our Heavenly Father, who art in heaven, may Thy name be exalted; may Thy kingdom come; may
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against
us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, Amen.
Give us today our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against
us; and give us today our daily bread.
5. As you focus your attention on the huge bead, pray the Our
Father and reflect on the first mystery.
O Jesus, please forgive us for our sins and save us from the burning inferno of hell. Guide all souls to
heaven, especially those who are in the most desperate need of your mercy. Amen
8. When you have completed the five decades, you should then
conclude with the Hail Holy Queen.
Hail, most holy Queen, mother of mercy; hail the source of our life, sweetness, and hope. Poor exiled
children of Eve, to you we cry; to you we send up our sighs as we mourn and wail here in this valley
of tears.
Therefore, most gracious advocate, turn your eyes of kindness toward us, and after this, our exile,
demonstrate to us the blessed fruit of your womb, which is Jesus. O merciful, O compassionate, O
gracious Virgin Mary, you are praised.
So that we would be found worthy of the promises that Christ has made to us
O God, whose One and Only Son, through His Life, Death, and Resurrection, has purchased for us
the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the
Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what
they promise, through the same Christ our Lord.We make this petition in the name of Jesus Christ,
who is also our Lord. Amen.
You are welcome to include the Litany of the Blessed Virgin, but doing so is not required.
