Write Your Own Rap Lyrics

Name: ________________________ryan maier_________________________________ Day

Topic/Title: _cat and dog________________________________________________________

You will be writing your own rap song about your chosen topic. In order to get an A on this project…

✔ The lyrics must make sense and be school appropriate.

✔ Write 3 complete verses and a chorus. The verses must all be different from each other. The
chorus will repeat three times, but it will be exactly the same every time it comes back.
✔ Both “A” lines in a verse/chorus should rhyme on the last word, and both “B” lines in a
verse/chorus should rhyme on the last word. When you start a new pair of lines, you can use a
different rhyme.
✔ Each line should be 4 beats long. To check this, try saying a line of your lyrics while tapping a
steady beat on your knee. Does the last word of the line land on beat 4?
