1. Your practice has just employed a dental assistant who is profoundly deaf. As you are the
senior assistant at the practice, your manager has asked that you mentor this person to
ensure their smooth transition into the business. While you have mentored other new
employees in the past, you have never experienced working with a deaf person. What
strategies will you use in order to reflect on your own beliefs and values and ensure that the
new person receives all the assistance they need?
A mentor is also known as a good example as someone with expertise in close to home

attending Sorry Day activities? What information could the practice manager provide?

people. What do you see as potential needs of these groups?
A group of persons who are socially excluded are affected by the meaning of marginalised

differently. For a long time, these people were typically excluded from numerous societal
positions and responsibilities. As a result, marginalised and people's roles and
responsibilities must be equalised so that they may also make meaningful contributions.

8. Q.1 looked at the scenario of a practice employing a dental assistant who happens to be

have an awareness of those needs?
There are several sorts of resources required to meet the needs of a profoundly deaf
dental assistant. Assistant will not be able to carry out his obligations and responsibilities
in the same manner as others, and he will require assistance. As a result, resources must
be available to enable such a person to compete with others in the Dental Services.

9. What can you see as some of the influences and changing practices in Australia and their
impact on Australian society’s diverse communities?
In Australia, there is a diverse variety of influences and evolving practises associated to
the diversity community. Policies such as inclusion and equality are being developed.
There is more inclusiveness for a diverse community, and their responsibilities are
evolving. Their influence on stable and varied communities is enormous, as backward
cultures come forward and contribute to society rules. Accepting different groups to be
on equal footing with the society is also a practise in Australia. There has been a lot of
improvement, especially for Aboriginals and Indigenous People, who have been
considered as backward tribes for a long time. Backward populations and other
disadvantaged persons in society are progressively stepping forward and taking on many
important responsibilities within society. Its various populations have long lagged behind,
unable to keep up with societal standards and enjoy rewards. As a result, procedures
must be implemented in order to attract more people from such diverse groups.
