    A phrasal verb is made of a verb plus a particle.

    Particles are
    “on”, “in”, “at”, “for”, “of”, “off”, “up”,“down”,“back”,“away”, etc.Ex :

    1- I will come back after the game. 4- Donald did his best to calm down the girl.
    2- She turned on the TV. 5- Donald did his best to calm the girl down .
    3- She turned the TV on. 6-The old man passed away peacefully in his sleep.
