Handing over notes of Sri.T. VEERA CHAITANYA,Ex. AEE/Maintenance/Borampalli.
The
Maintenance Section of 132 KV Ankampally LIS Sub-Stations Comprises the following:
1. General: The Asst.Executive Engineer /Maintenance/220 KV SS Borampalli is incharge of

maintenance section of 132/11 KV SS (LIS) Ankampalli. The 132/11 KV SS (LIS)Ankampalli is
purely meant Lift Irrigation System
The 132/11 KV SS (LIS)Ankampalli is having 4 No. 132 KV feeder , 3 No’s 10/16 MVA, 132/11KV
Power Transformer, 4 No’s 11 KV Breakers (KIOSK) in which 2 No’s LV Breakers and 4 No’s 11 KV
feeder breakers.
2. 132 KV Feeder: There are 4 No’s 132KV feeders at Ankampalli (LIS) SS. Namely 132 KV Anantapur-
Ankampalli feeder emanating from 220KVSS Anantapur, 132 KV Kalyandurg- Ankampalli feeder
emanating from 220KVSS Kalyandurg and 2 Nos. Duddekunta wind generating feeders namely 132
KV Duddekunta Wind generating Circuit –I and 132 KV Duddekunta Wind generating Circuit-II were
commissioned on 11-03-2015.
3. Power Transformer: There are 3 Nos.10/16 MVA, 132KV/11KV Power Transformer Bays (make-
ECE) available at 132KV SS (LIS) Ankampalli.
4. 11KV Feeders: There are 5 No’s 11 KV Feeders emanating from 132/11 KV SS (LIS) Ankampalli, out
of which 3 No. feeders are (Over Head Lines) which are connected to the Jeedipalli Pump House and in
which 1 No 11 KV Kiosk of 11 KV Jeedipalli-3 feeder was transferred to 220 KV SS Ragulapadu on
emergency as per instructions of Higher Officials and 2 No. feeders are meant for Ankampalli Pump
House.
5. D.C Supply : The 220V D.C Supply provided to all 132 KV feeders, 11 KV feeders ,power Transformer
relay & control panels breakers panels from 220V, 100AH Battery charger make – AMARA RAJA
available in control room in normal conditions. In case failure of A.C Supply to the charger the D.C
Supply provided by 104 No’s VRLA Station batteries (make – AMARA RAJA) rating of 2V, 100AH each
(Maintenance free).
6. L.T.A.C Supply: The L.T 3 Phase, 415 VAC., Supply is provided by 11/433 KV, 100 KVA, VVE. A.C
Supply to all panels, control room, Yard lighting distributed from L.T.A.C panel in the control room. The
alternate L.T 3 phase, 415V A.C Supply is available to substation from 15KVA GENERATOR
AVAILABLE in Substation
7. Yard & Control Room Lighting: The Control room lighting is provided by 12 No’s 40W, flour cent
lights and 7 Nos. fans are provided in the control room. The yard lighting is provided by 28No’s 250W
MV lamps.
8. Water Supply: Water to the substation is provided by the 3 HP submersible Motor pump inside the
substation and drinking water is supplied by outside because water available at SS is not suitable for
drinking
9. Communication: There is a mobile phone bearing no, 9491067607 and there is an express channel of
PLCC phone having No.0439-31,32.
10. Meters: There are 9 No’s secure meters provided in which 2No. Meters are fixed to 132 KV feeder
panels and 3 No’s meters connected to HV side of PTR’s. MRI readings were down loaded from PTR’s
HV meters on1st of every month and sent them to SLDC Vijayawada. 2 No.s meters are connected to 132
KV Duddekunta line –I & II, 2 Nos Meters are connected to 11 KV Jeedipalli-1 & 11 KV Ankampalli-1
feeders.
11. Staff Position: O&M Staff

Department O & M Staff – Nil
11 No’s contract persons engaged for carrying out operation & maintenance work in which 4 No’s
highly skilled persons, 4 No’s skilled persons and 3 No’s UN- skilled persons for watch & ward on
contract basis at 132KV SS (LIS) Ankampalli.
