Roles and Responsibilities

Candidates are expected to drive all aspects of Global Presales Activities for business acquisition from F500
and G2000 companies, while interacting with Global Sales Teams, Practice, COEs, Delivery Teams, HCL’s
Senior Management and developing competency before moving to a Presales team lead or Global Sales role.

Research and Analysis


Market Analysis of F500 and G2000 Manufacturing, Medical and Transportation (MMT) companies for vertical
business planning and key account planning.

Strategy Formulation for Business Acquisition


• Product portfolio study of Clients
• Understanding client Business and growth strategy, investments, CEO business vision and direction
• Strategic Assignments – M&A analysis of companies acquired by F500 / G2000 companies

Bid Management and Client Interactions


• Bid Management of engineering services outsourcing deals by independently owning the end-to-end
RFI –RFP process:
o Deal qualification and developing Win Strategy
o Competition analysis and positioning
o Lead cross-functional teams to develop the Response document
o Commercials and supporting contract negotiation
o Bid Defense
o Due Diligence and India client visit
• Manage Client visits for our Global Customers
• Participate in onsite global events at USA and Europe
• Win Kick Off, Communication, Change management and Townhall participation

Client Pitches and Business Acquisition


• CXO level business pitches and propositions for Engineering and MMT businesses in co-ordination with
Sales, Delivery & Marketing teams
• Create proactive proposals and business opportunities
• Create the 100 million plus business ideas and work with ERS president and CEO’s office to pitch these
ideas to F500 / G2000 CXO organizations

New business development


• Develop a list of prioritized F500 / G2000 new accounts to be pursued and acquired
• Conduct research on the accounts to build intelligence
• Develop propositions and collateral that can be used by the sales team to make inroads into new
accounts
• Provide the sales team ideas on who to approach / what to show based on the intelligence gathered
and propositions developed
• Short Term Travel to USA, Europe for specific assignments and Deal related work

Qualification & Experience (if required)

• MBA/PGDM with UG in B.E/B.Tech, with minimum 60% in 10th, 12th standard, UG and PG.
• Relevant exposure/work experience would be an added advantage.

Skillset Required
• A “can do” positive attitude
• A strong communicator and with an ability to build relationships with various stakeholders
• Good Understanding of Manufacturing, Medical and Transportation (MMT) verticals (ANY ONE) -
Aerospace & Defence, Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing
• Understanding of IT /Engineering Outsourcing and Offshore Development Centre concept
• Passion and experience across engineering in Embedded Software, Embedded Hardware, VLSI,
Systems and Hardware, Product Engineering and regulatory compliances
• Has a knack for Business and financial modelling
• Work experience in MNC/Indian IT Companies, OEMs or tier1s like Boeing, Airbus, Raytheon, Ford,
GM, GE, Caterpillar, John Deere, Schneider, Vestas etc.
