    Boom!
    The entire roof suddenly collapsed and the area around him was on
    fire.
    Andres did not know what was happening, nor was he aware of what
    was to happen.
    Another loud sound came.
    Kaboom!
    Suddenly a building collapsed which fell on their house and he
    blacked out.
    He woke up in a strange place, it was looking like a medical camp,
    but the area which it was seemed strange and dark. From the past 1
    week before he ended up here, almost no means of communication
    worked. Television and phone calls didn’t work. He didn’t understand
    what was happening.
    After he sometime someone came and started asking him all his
    details. “What is your name and age?” They asked him. Andres
    replied, “My name is Andres, I am 21 years old.”. Andres asked,
    “Where am I? What is happening?”. “My name is Jack. You are in a
    safe place for now, we found you collapsed in a building. We thought
    you were dead. If you are not aware, the government has collapsed
    due to a coup staged by the terrorist group, ARC. Before we found
    you there was a bombing by them. That is why you ended up here.”
    After a few days, he was just walking normally when In a matter of
    seconds, he was surrounded by a group of armed militias. “Hands
    up!” they said. Andres was now in the hands of ARC. They had found
    him. He was in a lot of trouble.
    Suddenly he heard a loud booming voice, “You are currently captured
    by the ARC terrorist group. Either join us now, or be killed. You
    cannot escape this time.”. Andres was very scared. Now he had only
    one option, that is to join them. He knew it was wrong, but he had no
    choice.
    They had finally reached the camp and had settled there. They were
    being trained to practice fighting. Andres knew something was
    happening. After many missions he soon became one of the best in his
    regiment.
    Soon after, he was sent for a mission to supress a mission to supress a
    group of rebels in the capital city’s outskirts. Since this was a forest
    area it was difficult to navigate. Soon they found a few clues. This
    time Andres was leading a group. He managed to find a trail and soon
    caught them. He held them at gunpoint, and then after one of the
    rebels started shooting, he started firing. His team and him managed
    to kill everyone.
    Mission after mission, he became better and more well known. Soon
    he was one the highest ranked officials. Once he was sent on a top-
    secret mission.
    He was sent on a mission to find some escaped rebels. This was
    classified as no one should know what is happening.
    He had reached there. He was going in the path he thought that they
    were at. Suddenly they heard someone’s voice talking. They knew
    they were here. They went around the corner and held everyone at
    gunpoint. Then they captured everyone. Today, the ARC’s leader,
    Boliviro Solivia was present. He knew this was his one chance, why
    he had been doing all this until now. “I see, our famed solider is here.
    Till now I have heard of you, but now I have finally seen your
    capability.” He said in a regal voice. “Thank you.” Andres said.
    Suddenly Andres whipped out his pistol and pointed it towards
    Boliviro. A sudden kapow! came but to Andres’s shock, he had some
    how managed to dodge the bullet in a matter of milliseconds. Hid
    deepest fear was happening right now. He had put so much effort to
    get here. He was now in deep trouble. “Hah, you thought you could
    kill me like that? No. Now you will die.” “Guards, take him to the
    cell.”.
    He was taken to a dark dusty dungeon a few kilometres away and was
    locked in with another person. To his surprise he was with Jack. But
    that was the least of their problems. He had failed to kill Boliviro. But
    then Jack said, “I know what happened, at least you tried. But we are
    going to die so it doesn’t matter anymore.”. “But how?” asked
    Andres. “See that, it is an explosive. It will explode in another 5
    minutes.”. Andres was shocked after hearing this. Jack said “I have an
    idea, but it seems ridiculous.”. “It’s ok tell me.”. If we manage to put
    the explosive near the door it will explode open, and then if we
    manage to go unnoticed, there are a lot of weapons in the training
    ground nearby. Then we may have a chance.” “But we need
    something to block the explosion so it doesn’t kill us.” Said Jack.
    Andres thought for a while and then he said, “I’ll block it. If I die
    now, at least there is a chance he will also die. I am willing to do it.”.
    “Are you mad? Are you going to die just for that?” Said Jack. “The
    time is ticking, only ten seconds are left. I have to this.” Andres said.
    “No don’t do that!”. Andres took the explosive and placed it near the
    door. He covered it with himself.
    10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1, BOOM! “No!” Jack shouted. The door burst
    open.
    After finally manging to reach surface at night, Jack managed to find
    a greened and 5 rifles. He took the grenade and a single rifle. He
    camped out nearby and slept on the grass through the cold night.
    Next day he got a golden opportunity, Boliviro was in the camp
    watching the soldiers train during a tour he came for. The grenade had
    a 5 second fuse. After that it would explode. He took the pin off,
    waited for 4 seconds. Just moments before it exploded, he threw it.
    KABOOM! It exploded with a deafening noise. And just like that
    ARC’s leader and rule had both fell in a matter of seconds.
    Without anyone leading, and no coordination all the members of the
    ARC fled and rebels took back control of their homeland.
    If it wasn’t for the brave decision of Andres to sacrifice himself, not
    only would his country have been lost, the ARC would have gone on
    to commit many more terrorist acts.
    Short Note:

    There are many more heroes like this, who sacrifice their life to keep
    our country India safe. I wholeheartedly thank all the soldiers who
    work in rough terrain and conditions, risking their life to keep our
    country safe. Jai Hind.
