1、Internet connection
Reference for Intranet and Internet connection methods:
Internet refers to Public IP Address, while Intranet refers to Private IP Address.
Private IP Address ranges:
• 10.0.0.0 through 10.255.255.255
• 172.16.0.0 through 172.31.255.255
• 192.168.0.0 through 192.168.255.255
z Intranet:To have a successful connection, IP camera and the client should in
the same networking environment, and their Private IP Address should be
on the same Subnet. It is shown in the picture below.
z Internet
Method ONE:IP camera connects to Internet via router. At this moment, IP
camera’s setting is Private IP Address. To properly connect to Internet, the client
should go through with router’s forward rules. It is shown in the picture below.
Method TWO:IP camera connects to Internet directly. If it is a fixed IP, you have to
type the IP Address provided by your ISP. If it is a floating IP, you have to type the
account and password provided by the ISP to dial-up.

1.2.Uninstall OCX
Please Remove [IMMP4Control Control] file from C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded
Program Files to uninstall OCX.

Step 2: With the IP Camera connected to the computer, and by clicking the Search
button, the IP camera’s IP Address and MAC Address will be displayed. Please click
Clear button if you need to remove all IP.
Step 3: Select one IP address which was searched, and click updateIP:It will show
the picture as bellow, you can change IP ADDRESS you need 、Netmask 、 Gateway,

Step 4:Select one IP address which was searched, and click UpdateMac:
It will show the picture as bellow, you can change MAC you need. and enter login IE
User Name、Password, click OK.
Step 5:Select one IP address which was searched, and click UpdateName:
It will show the picture as bellow, you can change IPCAM name, and enter login IE
User Name、Password, click “ OK ” the setup completes.

Step 6:Select one IP address which was searched, and click UpdatePort:
It will show the picture as bellow, you can change port you need. and enter login IE
User Name、Password, click “ OK ” the setup completes.
Step 7:Select one IP address which was searched, and click Default:
It will show the picture as bellow, and enter login IE User Name、Password, click OK,
the IP of IPCAM will return to 192.168.1.126 default.

Step 8:Click Clear Log, it will clean all information after updating.
2. Web View
After searching IP address step, you can open IE and enter IP address to IP
Camera. It will ask your User name” and Password.
The default user name is admin, and you don’t have to enter the password. Click
OK. The camera’s Live View page is now displayed in your web browser:

3. IE function interpretation
3.1. Basic Configuration
3.1.1. Status
Click Setup button into Basic configuration function, Status shows System
Information、Firmware current version、MAC Address、Camera information、Total live
view users、Wireless status、OCX information :
System Information:
<1> Firmware Current Version:It shows firmware version you are using and the
version date.
Network Status:
<1> Ethernet MAC Address:It shows the module’s current MAC Address.
<2> LAN IP Address:It shows the module’s IP address.
<3> LAN Netmask Address:It shows the module’s Netmask address.
<4> LAN Gateway Address:It shows the module’s Gateway address.
<5> DHCP State:It shows the module’s enable or disable.
Camera Information:
<1> Camera Type:It show the camera’s specification. The default value is NTSC.

Video Stream:
<1> CBR:Control Enable / Disable video stream. 128kbps,256kbps,384 kbps,512
kbps,1M kbps,1.5M kbps,2M kbps,3M kbps. Default: Disable

IP Address Configuration:
There are 2 methods to set up IP Address. One is obtaining IP address settings
automatically (DHCP), and the other is assigning IP address manually. If your network
supports DHCP, click the button of View to obtain the IP address automatically from
the DHCP server.
DNS Configuration:
It allows you to set up DNS Server. The board is allowed to store 2 DNS Servers.
When using DHCP, you can also choose DNS Server it provides. it allows you to set
up DNS Server.
HTTP:
Sets up the Port to be transmitted the data from the Module.
Note: the default HTTP port number is port 80.

Basic Configuration:
<1> Operation Mode:Two modes, Infra ( Infrastructure Mode) and Ad-Hoc Mode. If
you are just operating with AP, please select Infra mode, if it is a point-to-point
transmission, please select Ad-Hoc mode. Default: Infra.
<2> Wireless Type:Two modes, 802.11b/g mixed mode, and 802.11b mode. Default:
802.11b/g mixed mode.
<3> Country Region:Selects the country region that wireless card you are using. The
default is FCC. Its specification should be consistent with your Mini PCI wireless
card’s setting. Please refer to the instruction on the rear for relevant information.
<4> Channel:You are allowed to select different channel (1~11) to reduce noise.
Default is 10.
<5> TX Rate:Sets up the transmission speed, Auto、1、2、5.5、11、6、9、12、18、
24、36、48、54Mbps. Default is auto.
<6> SSID:The SSID you enter should be consistent with AP’s SSID. The default is
ipcam_wlan.
<7> Ad-Hoc Mode:Sets up the transmission mode of Ad- Hoc, 802.11b and 802.11g.
Default: 802.11b
<8> B/G Protect : If your network environment have 802.11b and also have 802.11g,
suggesting you start that protection. It will increase 802.11b and 802.11gdata collision
probability, but the transmission capability will also reduce, because there are too
many information frames to being delivered. Auto:Open or close protection mode
automatically according to the network condition. On :Turn on the protection. Off :Turn
off the protection.
<9> TX Preamble:Define CRC block length in the Ad Hoc mode. There are three
kinds of select mode:Auto、Long and Short, select "Auto" to indicate the wireless
network card will distinguish automatically.
<10> TX Burst:Whether select want the higher transport quantity of opening or not.
<11> Turbo Rate:Can increase to the 108M, but essential is all Ralink network card.
<12> Short Slot:Increase the online velocity, but the transmission speed will reduce.
Security Settings:
<1> Authorization Type:2 authorization Type modes, Open System or Shared Key
mode.
<2> Encryption Type:None or WEP.
<3> Default Key ID:64Bit and 128Bit. There are 4 sets of Default ID, but only one of
them works. You have to choose the right Default Key ID (please refer to your AP
setting). It will verify if the Default Key ID’s WEP Key ID is correct.
<4> WEP Key ID 1~4:From the drop-down list, select the ID is HEX format or ASCII
format. The number of character depends on the number of WEP key bit settings. For
Hex format, the characters allowed for input are from 0 – F. If you are using 128 bit
WEP, 26 Hex characters are needed; while 10 Hex characters are needed for 64 bit
WEP. On the other hand, if ASCII format is used for character input, 5 ASCII
characters are needed for 64 bit WEP, and 13 ASCII characters are needed for 128
bit WEP.
3.1.5. PPPoE

Configuration:
<1> Enable PPPoE:Enables or disables this function.
<2> User Name:Enter the account provided by ISP.
<3> Password:Enter the password provided by ISP.
<4> MTU:Maximum Transmission Unit.
<5> Email Notification when IP is changed:Enables or disables this function.
Status:
Click Refresh, you can see the IP Address provided by the ISP on the Status Bar.
3.1.6. DDNS
Dynamic DNS:
To use DDNS service, be sure to go to the web site of DynDNS (www.dyndns.org)
and PeanutHull, and register for a dynamic domain name, which can be used to
access it over Internet. Free of charge. Or you can’t use the service. For more
information, please go their web sites.

<1> Chose Server:Choose the desired DDNS Server. Imagia supports DDNS
service provided by DynDNS and PeanutHull.
<2> DNS Account:It is an account provided by DDNS Server service. For example,
imagiatek.dyndns.org is the Host Name applied by your DNS, and this is your Host
Name.
<3> User Name:Enter the applied user name
<4> Password:Enter the password of the user name.
<5> Manual _Update:Click this button, you are allowed to inform the DDNS Server
manually of your new IP address.
3.1.7. DATE & TIME
Current Server Time:Shows the current date and time displayed by Module.
Time Zone:Selects your time zone from the drop-down list.
Time Mode:The Module will obtain the time from an NTP server. Specify the NTP
server’s IP address or host name.
Update Server Time:Sets the time from the clock on your computer. It also allows
you to manually set the time and date.

Maintain Server:
<1> Restart:To reset hardware.
<2> Restore:Resets all parameters, except IP parameters, to the original factory
settings.
<3> Default:Restore all settings as default.
Upgrade Server:
Click Browser, select firmware (*.img file) and click upgrade .The firmware will be
updated
accordingly. Finally click Restore to ensure upgrade completely.

Management:This function allows you to change the password of the user name that
you login with.
3.2.4. SMTP
To set up mail server, please use the mail server provided by your ISP company or
Yahoo’s free account. For example, if your board uses ISP internet service, and you
send E-mail via So-net, you have to fill in ISP mail server in the mail server section.
SMTP Server1 Settings:
Mail server:Set up the major mail server.
From E-Mail address:Set up the E-mail account.
Authentication、User Name、Password:If the mail severs require authentication,
please check Yes here, and enter User name and Password in the field provided.
Send a test e-mail with SMTP server1:Enter E-mail you want to send and click Test
button for testing.

3.3. REC View P/I Ratio(P frmae ; I frame):Can change the ratio of the P frame and
I frame (When I frame ratio more high menu the transmission quantity of the more
clear but opposite data will also become big)。
CMOS frequence:Select the frequency, 50 Hz or 60 Hz of the CMOS usage. Default :
50 Hz
Note:This function is only valid to the IPCAM of the adoption CMOS camera.
RGB:When the display card is worse, if can't display normally liveview, can select
use RGB format display. Default :No
Cut Pixel:Some camera resolutions couldn’t attain 720*576, cause the both sides of
the video have a black side. Can conceal this black side with this set up. Under the
different resolution, the set up needs to cut off the picture element of the black side.
To AVI: AV file convert AVI file.
PLAYBACK:
This page only provides the video which is recorded previously. Click “ browse ”
button can select to want to broadcast file(*.av) path. Click "Play" button to start
broadcasting then after selecting file, click " Stop " button then image breakup, if want
to pause to click " Pause " button once to pause to broadcast.
