Lacson open to run as VP
Opposition Sen. Panfilo Lacson is open to run as a vice president in the 2010 national
elections.
In a forum in Intramuros, Manila, Lacson, who earlier abandoned his presidential bid,
said he is not discounting the possibility of teaming up with a presidential aspirant and
running as a vice presidential candidate in next year's polls.
"Im open to the idea. But I have not given it a serious thought," Lacson told reporters
during the media forum.
He added he is willing to support anyone who shares his advocacy and vision for the
country.
Lacson also bared that at least two presidential aspirants have already approached his
camp to ask him to be their running mate.
"Very clear yung vision ko. Set the government right and I think we can set the country
right," he said when asked if he is willing to run as vice president for either Sen. Mar
Roxas or Sen. Francis Escudero.
Lacson, who has withdrawn from the presidential race, is a staunch critic of the Arroyo
