    Welcome to your annual recollection, also known as


    “Duc in Altum”.

    Duc in Altum finds its biblical source in the Gospel of St.


    Luke where Jesus, after speaking to the crowds from
    Simon's boat, invited the apostles to “put out into the
    deep” for a catch. The apostles had fished all night long
    with but no success. They were most likely disappointed at
    their lack of fish and were not all that ready to fish some
    more. But Jesus directs Simon to do so and he does it. The
    result is that they caught more fish than they thought they
    could handle. (Luke 5:4-6)
    “ Dear young people, it is to you in a particular way that I
    renew the invitation of Christ to ‘put out into the deep.’ You
    find yourselves having to make important decisions for your
    future. ... Trust Christ; listen attentively to his teachings, fix
    your eyes on his face, persevere in listening to his Word.

    Various activities will serve as avenues to take a step back from
    online classes and to have an intimate encounter with the Lord
    during an online recollection. You are lead to:
     To know what concerns you: personal, family and community;
     To recognize that Jesus comforts the mind and heart in every
    circumstances; and
     To demonstrate trust and confidence in the wisdom of God.
    In the name of the Father,
    and of the Son,
    and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
