A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE CONDUCT OF BARANGAY NUTRITION

PROGRAM EVERY MONTH OF JULY.

WHERE AS, it has been a yearly practice in our Barangay the celebration of Barangay Nutrition
Month.

WHERE AS, child nutrition in our Constitutions, Sec. 3 Article XV, that the state shall defend the right of
children for assistance, including proper care and nutrition and special protection from all forms of neglect,
abuse cruelty, exploitation and other conditions prejudicial to their development.

NOWTHEREFORE, on motion presented and seconded, be it:

RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to approve the conduct of Barangay Nutrition Program every month of
July.

WHERE AS, EO 51 calls for intensification of the dissention of information on breastfeeding and proper
nutrition
WHERE AS, Breastmilk substitutes cannot take the place of natural mother’s milk which contents all the
nutrients and anti-bodies a newborn baby needs for its full growth and development

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to approve the resolution adopting the Philippine Milk Code
1986 of Executive Order 51 Regulates the marketing of infant milk formula, other milk product

RESOLUTION NO. 2 SERIES OF 2009.

WHEREAS, under the Policy the Nutrition council requires the delivery of quality nutrition and other
health related services that could be facilitated in times of emergencies and disaster;

WHEREAS, activities during disaster team during emergencies and disasters include supplemental
feeding weighing and giving vitamins among other health care services that can be served in times of
emergencies;

WHEREAS, the barangay adopts to implement to the National Policy on nutrition management in
emergencies and disaster;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Jovita p. Dong-on and unanimously approved by all

Child health and Nutrition in the first one thousand days of life;

in the first 1,000 days of child’s life allocating resources in the sustainability to improve health

A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RA 8976 PHILIPPINE

FOOD FORTIFICATION ACT OF 2000.

WHEREAS, Article II Section 15 of the Constitution provides that the state shall protect
and provide the right of health of the people and instill consciousness among them;

WHEREAS, with the State recognizing that the food fortification is vital where there is
demonstrated need to increase the intake of an essential nutrients as manifested in dietary,
biochemical or critical evidences or deficiency Food fortification is considered important in the
promotion of health and to compensate for the loss nutrients due to processing storage food;

WHEREAS, the barangay adopts to implement the Food Fortification act for the good
health of the community residents;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Noel Cuison and unanimously approved by

all present in session be it;

RESOLVED as it is hereby RESOLVED TO ADOPT THE 8976 PHILIPPINE FOOD

PROMOTION ACT OF 2009.

WHEREAS, RA 10028 the Expanded Breastfeeding Act of 2009 encourages and supports the practice
of breastfeeding where basis physical, emotional and psychological needs of mothers and infants are fulfilled
trough the practice of breastfeeding;

WHEREAS, Breastfeeding has its first Preventive health measure that can be given to a
Child at birth;

WHEREAS, Breastfeeding has its best Nutrients completely suitable for the infant’s
growth and has its distinct advantage to the growth of;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Francisco and unanimously approved by

A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING AND DESSIMINATING THE NUTRITIONAL GUIDELINES FOR

FILIPINOS OF 2021.

WHEREAS, the National guidelines of 2021 as follows are helpful in the nutritional status of every
constituent in the barangay;

1. Eat a variety of foods every day to get the nutrient s needed by the body.

2. Breastfeed infants exclusively from birth up to 6 months then give appropriate complementary
foods while continuing breastfeeding for 2 years and beyond for optimum growth and
development.

3. Eat more vegetable and fruits every day to get the essential vitamins minerals, and fiber for regulation
on the body processes.

4. Consume fish, lean meat, poultry, egg, dried beans or nuts daily for growth and repair of body tissues.

5. Consume milk, milk products, and other calcium rich foods, such as small fish and shellfish, every day
for healthy bones and teeth.

6. Consume safe foods and water to prevent diarrhea and other food and waterborne diseases.

7. Use iodized salt to prevent Iodine Deficiency Disorders.

8. Limit intake of salty, fried fatty and sugar rich foods to prevent cardiovascular diseases.

9. Attain normal body weight through proper diet and moderate physical activity to maintain good health
and help prevent obesity.

10. Be physically active, make healthy food choices, manage stress, avoid alcoholic beverages and do not
smoke to help prevent lifestyle related noncommunicable diseases

WHEREAS, supporting and complying with the Nutritional Guidelines is giving healthy life to
barangay residents.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Grace Balanza and unanimous approved by all
present in session be it;

RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED TO SUPPORT AND DESSIMINATE THE

GOVERNING BOARD RESOLUTION NO. I S-2017 AND SUPPORTS THE
IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PHILIPPINE ACTION PLAN OF 2017-2022;

WHEREAS, the approved Philippine action Plan for Nutrition for 2017 to 2022 is the
country’s blue print to address malnutrition among Filipinos;

WHEREAS, PPAN 2017-2022 is an integral part of Philippine Development Plan of

2017-2022 and one of the country’s commitments to the global community;

WHWEREAS, the barangay commits to support in the implementation of PPAN 2017-

WHEREAS, the act institutionalizes the National Feeding program to be consistent with the Philippine
Action plan for Nutrition formulated by the national Nutrition Council aiming to reduce stunting and wasting
among pre school children and reduce micronutrient deficiencies;

WHEREAS, the barangay supports the program partnering with barangay stakeholders sponsoring
monthly Feeding program for children;

A RESOLUTION CONCURRING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF BARANGAY NUTRITIONACTION

PLAN (BNAP) FORMULATED BY THE BARANGAY NUTRITION COMMITTEE(BNC)FOR ITS
ADOPTION AND APPROVAL AND TO BE INTEGTRATED IN TNE BARANGAY DEVELOPMENT
PLAN.

WHEREAS, the Barangay Nutrition committee (BNC) is mandated by the Local Government, Memorandum
Circular 69-71 to formulate a Barangay Action Plan as the official planning document of the Barangay;

WHEREAS, The Barangay Nutrition Committee (BNC)convened and formulated a plan covering the period of
one (1) year for the implementation of the three (3) impact program of the Philippine Plan of Action for
Nutrition (PPAN) with a total Barangay Funding Cost of Php. 80,000.00

NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded be it;

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Barangay Nutrition Action (BNAP) formulated by the
Barangay Committee (BNC) is hereby approved and adopted by the Sagguniang Barangay, and has been
integrated to the Barangay Development Plan;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to all concerned offices for their
information guidance.

A RESOLUTION TO CONDUCT ANNUAL OPERATION TIMBANG PLUS OF

PADRE ZAMORA BARANGAY, BAGUIO CITY.

WHEREAS, operation timbang plus is the annual weighing of preschool children intended to
generate data of nutritional assessment, planning, management, monitoring and evaluate of
Barangay nutrition program.

WHEREAS, OPT plus result provide information on the nutritional status of the preschool
children and the community in general, thus providing information on the effectiveness of the
barangay nutrition program.

WHEREAS, the OPT PLUS helps in locating families with preschool children whose weight
and height are below or above normal as well as to detect growth faltering among infants and
school children as possible.

WHEREAS, as directed by the Guidelines of the National Nutrition Council, the OPT team
consist of the Barangay Nutrition Scholar, member of the Barangay Council who are also a
member of the Barangay Nutrition Committee, SK Chairperson, Barangay Health Worker.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Noel Cuison, and duly seconded be it.

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to approve the conduct of Operation Timbang

Plus of Padre Zamora Barangay.

A RESOLUTION STRENGTENING THE IYFC SUPPORT GROUP OF PADRE

ZAMORA BARANGAY, BAGUIO CITY.

WHEREAS, there is a need to strengthen the IFCY Support Group to give importance to the
impact of the feeding practices have on the nutritional status, growth, development and health
survival of infants and children;

WHEREAS, breastfeeding is the most effective intervention to improve child’s survival, it will
not only save babies from death but also provides long-term benefits;

WHEREAS, breastfeeding support group provides counselling to mothers, fathers, other

members of the family to promote appropriate IYCF practices:

NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded be it;

RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to strengthen the IYCF breastfeeding support

group of Padre Zamora Barangay, Baguio City;
