OVERVIEW OF THE TOPIC

Food's impact on the body's health is known as nutrition. Food is necessary


for survival because it gives the body the resources it needs to function and stay
healthy. Food is made up of macronutrients like protein, carbs, and fat that not
only provide calories to fuel and energize the body but also have specific
functions in preserving health. In addition to providing calories, food also
contains phytochemicals and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) that are
essential for the body's proper operation.

1. Identified the food group and its essential function.


2 Create a weekly food log to monitor one nutrition.
3. Evaluate ones eating habit.

At the end of the week, the students are expected to:
