CREATING BASE OF WEATHERING GRID:
Add Variables-BASERL
1. File>New>Folder. This will create a new grid folder/DD named MODEL_STACK.GRD in the project
folder.
2. Un-tick all the seams that have not been modeled in MODEL_UNCUT grid folder due to lack of
intercepts. This will guide you in determining the lower and upper grids in stacking the seams.
3. SeamModel>Seam Model Operations, select Strata Build operations. Then click [Ok] tab to complete
the task.
4. List down the first missing strata, in this case it is N1SR grid.
5. Create this grid using grid arithmetic. N0IB=N2SF-N1SR.
6. Grid>Arithmetic. Click Ok and save new grid to be created which is N0IB.
Click Ok.
7. Re-invoke model build stacking again to check for the next missing strata. In this case it is N7IB grid.
8. Grid>Arithmetic. This will create the missing N7IB grid. Save the created grid
9. Repeat the same process in creating grid N1OB.
10. Re-invoke model build stacking again to check if there are still missing grids. Repeat the process if
there is, else, investigate the model in section plots for conformity before proceeding to next
modeling step.
CREATING THE WASH OUT GRID (MK) IN STACKED SEAM MODEL:
1. File>New>Folder. This will create new grid folder/DD, MODEL_WASHOUT.GRD. Click Ok.
2. SeamModel>Compute Seam Washout Grids. This will create grids with MK suffixes in STACK seam
model.
3. Grid values for this MK’s are zeros and ones, the zeros are the areas with zero picks and the radius
of influence is 200m from BH’s. Click Ok.
4. Create wash out grid by using WASHOUT.SQL in SeamModel>Seam Model Operations. Click Ok.

5. SeamModel>Seam Model Operations. This will create the new seam roof based on adjusted seam
thicknesses due to washout areas.
1. File>New>Folder. This will create a new grid folder/DD named MODEL_UNCUT.GRD in the project
folder.
2. SeamModel>Multi-Seam Multi-Variable Gridding. Select all Seam, create gridding parameter, update
list then click Ok.

to create seam roof based on seam floor and seam thickness grids. The original seam thicknesses were
altered due to the setting of thicknesses to zero for those interpolated picks below topography and
above total hole depth (this was previously done in Seam Model>Bore Seam Modelling).
OK
CREATING THE CUT SEAM MODEL:
1. File>New>Folder. This will create new grid folder/DD, MODEL_CUT.GRD. Click Ok.
