World Quotes
Each and every part of the world is a snare* for the fool and a means of deliverance for the wise.
(*deception, trap)
Everything in the world of existence has an end and a goal. The end is maturity, and the goal is
freedom. For example, the fruit grows on the tree until it is ripe and then falls. A farmer sows grain
in the ground and tends it. It begins to grow, eventually seeds, and again becomes grain. It has
returned to its original form. The circle is complete. Completing the circle of existence is freedom.
— Nafasi
This world is a place of preparation where one is given many lessons and passes many tests. Choose
less over more in it. Be satisfied with what you have, even it is less than what others have. In fact,
prefer to have less.
This world is not bad — on the contrary, it is the field of the hereafter. What you plant here, you
will reap there. This world is the way to eternal bliss and thereby is good — worthy to be cherished
and to be praised.
What is bad is what you do with the world when you become blind to the truth and totally
consumed by your desires, lust and ambition for it. Our master the Prophet, in whom wisdom was
as clear as crystal, was asked, “What is worldliness?” He answered, ”Everything that makes you
heedless and causes you to forget your Lord.” Therefore the goods of this world are not harmful in
themselves, but only when you let them render you forgetful, disobedient, and unaware of the Lord.
— Ibn Arabi
Happy are those who find fault with themselves instead of finding fault with others.
— Mohammad
When you see beauty and perfection in this world, it is nothing but a sign of Him. A beautiful
creature is merely a single blossom from the vast garden of God. But remember that a picture fades,
a flower dies, and the reflection in the mirror is eclipsed by the real Light. It is God who is real and
remains so forever. So, why waste your time over something that is here today and gone tomorrow?
Go directly to the Source without delay.

One day, the caliph Omar met a group of people who were sitting around doing nothing. He asked
them wo they were. “We are those who put their affairs in the hands of God, and we trust in God,”
they replied.
“Indeed you do not!,” he retorted. “You are nothing but freeloaders, parasites upon other people’s
efforts! Someone who truly trusts in God first plants seeds in the belly of this earth, then puts his
affairs in the hand of God, the Sustainer!”
— Ibn Arabi
Amen.
Someone asked the Prophet, “What is Islam?” He replied, “Purity of speech and charity.”
— Hadith
“If kindness were a visible creation, nothing that Allah has created would be more beautiful than it.”
