    1. Define the term cocoa leaf, opium, hemp, manufactured drugs and Narcotic drugs and psychotropic
    substances. Discuss the conditions for manufacture and sale of opium as per Narcotic and
    Psychotropic substances Act 1985.

    2. Explain the terms manufacture in bond and manufacture outside bond. Outline the layout and working
    schedule of a bonded laboratory.

    3. Give an account on the constitution and functions of Pharmacy Council of India constituted under
    the Pharmacy Act, 1948.

    4. How are the following procured in your college?


    i) Alcohol ii) Denatured spirit
    iii) Rectified spirit

    5. Write the general conditions to be fulfilled for manufacture of drugs other than those specified in
    schedule C, C1 and X.

    6. How do the following differ?


    a) Price list and Ceiling price b) Drugs and Insecticides
    c) Schedule C and C1 drugs d) Medicinal and Toilet preparations

    7. What is the role of Excise Commission in alcoholic preparations premises under medicinal and
    toilet preparations act?

    Give the salient features of Medical Termination of Pregnancy Act.

    8. Answer any two of the following:


    a) Write the objectives of AICTE Act, 1987 and functions of the council thereunder.
    b) What are the requirements of a retail shop to obtain a licence for retail selling of drugs under
    drugs and cosmetics Act?
    c) Write a note on warehousing of alcoholic preparations under medicinal and Toilet preparations
    Act 1955.
    d) Write a note on calculation of retail price of formulation under DPCO.
