Learning Standard (i) Solve daily problems involving perimeter and area of composite two-dimensional
shapes.
Learning Objective Pupils should be able to:
((ii) Determine area of composite two dimensional shapes. .
Success Criteria Pupil will be able to
1: state meaning of area (individual)
2: calculate area of 2-D shape (individual)(in pair)
3: solve daily problems involving area (in group) ( individual)
Activity 1. Pupils will list down 2-D shapes around them. (I-Think map).
2. Pupils discuss about concept of area. Based on the video shown. ( traffic light card)
3. Pupils calculate area of two dimensional shapes using formula: area = length x width
(cooperative/ traffic light card)
4. Pupils solve the problem and check the answer with class.
5. Pupil’s solve daily problems involving area of composite two-dimensional shapes.
(Cooperative/ traffic light card).
6. Teacher assist to students who still having problem with coversion of units.
7. Pupils do exercise in the given worksheets. Teacher guide and check pupil’s answer
8. Pupils will continue with extra questions after finish the worksheet. (anchor activity)
9. Teacher rotate around the classroom and assist struggling students.
10. Teacher recall back today’s lesson
