Hey there! I’m Cindy and I’m 17 years old from Nevada, the United States. I like to read and write,
Mark Twain is one of my favorites. I like poetry and I have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with
music. I like alternative, rock, and pop. Arctic Monkeys and One Republic are two of my favorite
color is green. I have a big family and I love eating.

I’m looking to write to anybody. I don’t care where you’re from and as long as you’re between the

Hi, my name’s Brad. I was born in Boston, Massachuetts, but my family moved to Los Angeles when I
was two, so I grew up there. I graduated from middle school about three years ago and I am
currently attending a high school in my city. I’m a junior and I am interested in social science,
especially economics. I also have a piano course. My life is really busy, but I enjoy hiking, reading,
and hanging out with friends in my free time. I like playing skateboard as well. I always go skate
boarding in the park next to the bookstore. When I graduate, I want to work for a company in this
area.

Hey there! I’m Jason Hughes, a seventeen-years old boy going to secondary school. I study hard to
be a good student and to achieve good grades in exams. By maintaining my achievements, my
parents, especially my father, allow me to play in the band because I love music very much. As the
lead singer, I also play the electric guitar. I also like to make friends from around the world,
especially on the social networking sites.

I live in a nice house in a suburb area. It is a big house with a studio for my band to practice. We are
amateur but we practice regularly. The practice becomes more intense when we are going to
perform.

Both my parents work. My father is a judge and my mother is a neurologist. Besides treating her
patients well, she is a good mother. Though she is tired, she always have time for her children,
checking whether they are doing good at school.

My father permits me to do my hobbies including playing music with my band under one condition—
being a good student with good grades or I quit the band. That means that bad grades are not
tolerated.

The other members of my family are my younger twin sisters. They often put me into trouble with
their childishness. Though they are only 6 years old, babysitting them alone when my parents are
out can be troublesome.

I believe that a friend is an angel who lifts us off our feet when our wings have trouble remembering
how to fly. It means that our friends are people who will always be there for us any time we need
them.

I'm so lucky because I have three best friends. They are Firsty, Ronald and Jonathan. We have known
each other since we were four years old. We met in the kindergarten. Since then, we always go to
the same school. Moreover, our houses are still in the same block. We do everything together. Our
motto
is "United we stand, divided we fall". It means "together we are stronger". Now, let me introduce my
friends one by one.

Firsty is the youngest among us because she was born in December. We call her "The Sweety Firsty".
Her father is French. She is tall and slim. She's about 171 cm. She has long straight hair. Actually, the
color of her hair is blonde. However, she dyed her hair black since last year. She has beautiful blue
eyes, an oval face and pointed nose. "The Sweety Firsty" is a cheerful, confident, and determined
girl. However, she is a little bit careless and stubborn. She has many cats in her house. There are
about nine cats. She loves them all. One of her favorite is a little orange cat. She calls her 'Shinny'.
Firsty loves to dance and sing. Nevertheless, she wants to be a model.

Ronald's nickname is Ron. Most of girls in our school love and adore him. There's no doubt about his
good looking. We call him "The Charming Ron". His height is 176 cm. Ron has straight hair and
perfect face. He is an intelligent and introvert person. Above all, he is humble. He was crowned as
The Best Student this year. He won so many prizes on Math, Chemistry and Physic competition.
However, his favorite subject is Chemistry. He wants to be a chemist someday.

Jonathan is a funny person. He can always find a way to make the people around him laugh. I
wonder what it is in his head for he can create jokes spontaneously. Jonathan's nick name is Jo. He is
plump. He's about 168 cm tall. His weight is 80 kg. That's why we call him "The Big Jo". He has a
round face with brown eyes. His spiky hairstyle makes him easily recognized. Jo is a humorous,
friendly and an easy-going person. He is a movie freak. He would never miss any new movie in the
cinema. He dreams of becoming a famous actor one day.

About me? Well, my name is Hana. I'm the shortest one among them. I'm about 160 cm tall. I have
long wavy hair with round face. My friends call me "The Chubby Hana" because I also have a chubby
check. Most people, even my parents say that I'm a careful, generous and diligent person. They also
say that I'm a bit sensitive. I love painting. I spend much time in my small studio just painting.

That's all about me and friends of mine. Even though we are quite different, we love each other and
will keep this relationship for good.

A one-hour drive from my house is the most beautiful area in the south of New Zealand. It is called
“The Green Park”. People from different parts of New Zealand and different countries often come
here on holiday.

The Green Park is a very large area of natural forest and there are a lot of animals that live there.
Horses and donkeys walk everywhere and sometimes you can even see deer, cows, and ducks
crossing the road.

What I like about the Green Park is that the colours of the forest change during the year. In autumn,
the leaves are red and gold and, in the spring, everything is purple and different shades of green. The
trees are always colourful and different.

Tourists often prefer to go to the small villages in the Green Park with pretty houses to stay at and
traditional restaurants to dine in. Visitors are not allowed to camp in the whole part of the Green
Park. I love to walk along the river because there you can see the true heart of the forest.

Deepavali— literary means the festival of lights – is a festival celebrated by Hindus. Special prayers
are offered in the festivals and the Hindus enjoy the big feasts. The festival commemorates the
triumph of Lord Krishna fought against a demon called Naragasura. In other words, the festival
celebrates the victory of good against evil.

Deepavali always occurs either in October or November and the preparation is conducted a month
before. The Hindus go shopping and make various sweets and hot dishes. They also beautify their
houses with colourful lights. Twinkling lights in Serangoon also add the joy of the festival.

Every Hindus will wake up early on the Deepvali and have an oil bath. Then, they wear new clothes
and offer prayers for God. After that, they have a big feast with friends at home. The sweets and the
dishes they have prepared are also sent to other friends and relatives.

The government also works together with the Indian community in decorating the Serangon Road as
an effort to make the festival merrier. To make the festival more festive, community centres
organise trade fairs and cultural shows. People of all races enjoy a variety performance of Indian
dances, plays and songs.

My Uncle Martin is my mother's elder brother. He is my favourite among my mother's
brothers. He is a very interesting man. He lives quite near us with my Aunt Angela and my
cousins Anne and Bob. I often go to his house. He is about 45 with grey hair. He is still quite
good-looking. He is tall and well-built. He has blue eyes and a strong face. He wears glasses.
He is short sighted. He takes them off when he doesn't work. Uncle Martin is a textile
engineer. He works for a big firm in the city. He travels widely in his job. He is an expert in
solving problems with machines. At present, he is in the United States. He is visiting the
firm's customers there. He is very fond of the sea. He has a boat at seaside. He goes there
every weekend in summer to sail it. I sometimes stay with my cousins at their house on the
coast. When Uncle Martin is at home, he usually takes us out in the boat.
