21st Century Skills What should I do? How shall I get ready?
Pile of workloads are part of a student’s life.
Therefore, as a student in the 21st century, I should focus on essential tasks and finish them Anchoring one by one in order to produce quality work with minimal stressful encounters despite the presence of distractions such as playing games and watching variety shows in televisions. Fake news and irrelevant sources keep showing up in different websites and online articles. Therefore, in order to apply the 21 st century skill of filtering. I shall find various sources in order to filter and know if the Filtering information is genuine enough which will not mislead my mind to the wrong information. This will help me expand my knowledge but is filtered according to what is actually real about the information. I should link myself to others and develop what I already know in order to broaden that Connecting with each other concepts that I have. This is necessary in order to update my knowledge about things and stay current and informed. Interacting with others by understanding and hearing their stories about life is one of the things that I can do in order to reflect this 21 st Being Human Together century skill. It is important to form relationships that will serve as building blocks which will develop us in being human. Negativities are always present in the world, however, by using this skill, I can root out its cause and find meaning on why these things Creating and Deriving Meaning happen. This will also help in minimizing negative impacts in my life as well as the surrounding entities. This skill can work hand in hand with filtering since it will help me know how essential and authentic the knowledge is for my development. It is necessary for me to know Evaluation and Authentication how legitimate the information is since it will add up to what I already know. Due to the fact that fake news is prevalent in the community, this skill is vital to know what is true and is not. As a future educator, I should know how to affirm others and their efforts to do the work. I need to acknowledge people for the efforts to do things in order to be motivated in doing Altered Processes of Validation tasks. This is necessary since it will help me appreciate even the simpler things done by people around me and at least show acknowledgement for the things that has been done for the development of each other. This skill will help me identify myself more and recognize my strengths and weakness which will cultivate me to become a better version. Critical and Creative Thinking This skill can also make me ready as I venture out of my comfort zone and do unfamiliar things which can develop my personality and life. Problems arise normally as challenges in life. However, pattern recognition will help me find the cause of these problems and formulate Pattern Recognition solutions which can eradicate its effects. This skill is important since it will lessen the possible effects of tons of problems such as deterioration of mental health. Using this 21st century skill, I may be able to identify people through their personalities and Navigation of the knowledge understand them as who they really are and landscape the things they want to achieve in life. This will help me form relationships and make it stronger in the future. Discovering new things roots out from finding relevancies present in the current things we already know. As a student, I shall use these Acceptance of Uncertainty present things I know in order to find a link about things I do not know and identify new things unknown to me and others. Contextualizing We have things different from each other but we can accept everyone if we can understand diversity. As a HUMSS student, it is necessary to accept these differences and use it as an opportunity to develop each other and see it as an opportunity to integrate something out of these differences. Since we have different cultures and personalities, it is essential to adapt to what is needed by the current situation I am facing.
