A highly motivated, confident and technically astute individual starting out as a time served construction professional with over 10
years’ experience in the Rigging and Lifting industry. Throughout this time, I have progressed from the onshore environment to
positions overseas and positions offshore. I have worked in a number of capacities such as in Steel Erection / Rigger, Heavy Rigging
Engineer, Competent Person for Lifting operation (CPLO), Project Appointed Person, Project Engineer, Project Lifting Manager &
more recently as the Lifting Appointed Person/Lifting Manager for a well-known global Piling company. Over the years I have
demonstrated my ability to work both individually and as a member of a team, in varied environments. I am a very performance
driven dynamic individual who is always willing to learn and adapt to new roles and uptake any training necessary to ensure the
best for myself and clients. I have developed on-site experience in working on extensive projects on demanding sites within

Manage Corporate governance for the integrity of lifting equipment/Lifting operations to ensure that associated risks are
managed As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP) and in compliance with statutory requirements, mandatory regulations,
technical standards and good engineering practices within the oil and gas onshore and offshore EPC Projects/Operations,
Managing and Supervising of Heavy lifting operations, Tandem Lifting, lifting accessories inspection and third Party Certifications.
Equipment Selection. Lifting Plan preparation and risk assessment. AUTOCAD Design of heavy/complex lifting operation.

Position: Lifting Engineer /Appointed Person for Lifting operation


Location: Doha Qatar
Project: BARZAN ONSHORE PROJECT RAS LAFFAN.

Plan and Design all project heavy lifts and site Cranes activities, unloading and transporting of oversize/heavy equipment’s from
the vessel, overseeing of offshore heavy lifting and placement of the LNG jetty tug pens and heavy load out facility ensuring all
operations are conducted in a timely and safe manner in accordance with the Client and project HSE requirements and
procedures. inspection of equipment and maintaining a good working environment for all personnel involved on the Project.
Involved in decision making and weekly progress meetings, with the PMT, and their engineers regarding all lifting and transport
studies prior to their submission and approval.

 Onshore project and Maintenance representative for LOLER.


 Lifting operations management role maintaining safe systems of work, reporting on assessments and audits,
resolution of HSS&E issues, etc.
 Leading all lifting operations to deliver the work scope in accordance with the applicable specifications,
procedures, method statements, risk assessments etc. that apply and in a safe and efficient manner within
the planned target dates.
 Attending and giving input into onshore PUWER review's, mechanical handling studies and constructability
reviews to assess the effectiveness of working practices and proposed equipment installation.

JSA and Risk Assessments Preparation.

 Plan and design heavy lift operations and specialized transport for oversize load projects, prepare engineering
drawings, calculations and procedures related to the systems selection for the execution and timely completion of
project work involving heavy lifts, rigging, barging and specialized transportation.

Perform and supervisor all lifting operations, Equipment selection and inspection, lifting accessories certification and re-
certification. preparation of lifting plan/calculation, lifting operation preparation, periodic maintenance and inspection of lifting
gears, coordinating with third party inspection company for lifting equipment and lifting accessories certification. Manage all lifting
operations in accordance to LOLER and BS7121

 Responsible for the assessment of heavy/critical lifting operations to ensure that the planning, selection of cranes
heavy lifting / multi lifting with various crane types and lifting equipment/accessories are in place to enable the
lifting task to be safely executed
 Create and review Method Statements, Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analysis plans in accordance with Company
HSE Policy, ensures Contractors subordinates are aware and comply with HSE procedures, rules and regulations for
Rigging / Lifting activities.
 Prepare a study for heavy lift route and visit various areas accordingly to prepare transport drawing and offloading
drawing/Lifting drawing.
 Monitor the lifting operations to ensure that they are being carried out in accordance with the approved Rigging
Study, established Work Method Statement, Risk and Job Safety Analysis, Including revising and re-approval of any
changes to the working documents.
 Coordinate the certification and coding of all heavy lift assets and ensure periodical renewal of certificates.
 Undertake extensive inspection of sub-contractor supplied equipment, maintenance records, lifting equipment
certificates etc., prior to mobilizing.
 Co-ordinate with the maintenance / project teams for lifting operations, transportation, erection and all site
activities. Deliver presentations to site to demonstrate how the lifting plans are to be used. Monitor the Sub
Contractors Task Instruction / Tool Box Talk prior to performing any lifting operations.
 Demonstrate initiative in resolving both immediate and long-term site issues regarding Rigging and Lifting systems
and their practical implementation.
 Liaising with maintenance team and Crane Inspectors / Crane and Lifting Gears Inspection representatives on a
daily basis
 Report compliance to programmed inspection, and testing activities for all lifting equipment on a monthly basis
 Undertake evaluation, calculation and provide competent technical design reviews, audit support and advice for
any requirements related to lifting equipment or their operation.
 Provide technical consultation/clarification on the Lifting equipment implementation program and Lifting
Equipment Manual.
 Review the technical documents such as PR description of new lifting equipment, Asset Owners' technical
queries, Lifting Equipment Procedure revision, etc. and provide suitable report for implementation.
 Conducts awareness Training program related to Lifting requirements as per Company policies to
Maintenance/Shutdown and other Contractor personnel.
 Prepare Annual plan for Lifting Equipment inspection, identify, calculate, and report key performance indicator
(KPIs) applicable to the Lifting Equipment Management System.
 Review the technical process for all lifting equipment procurement actions to ensure lifting equipment conforms
to specifications.
 Act as Subject matter expert in development of equipment strategies for lifting equipment and provide support
for implementation.
 Reviews and approves critical Lifting Plans, Riggers/Rigging Supervisors and Operators.
 Review/analyse Lifting Equipment Certification/ reports, Audit findings/recommendations, test results, failure
investigations etc. and provide recommendations for corrective measures or actions.
