specific thinking pattern.

Types of cognitive distortions:

Polarized thinking:

It can be defined as black or white thinking in which a individual think on in extremes on

Over generalization:

It is defined as when one individual places the same conclusion that a he/she had drawn from
one event to every other experience of their life.

For example:

Emotional reasoning:

It is a distortion which occurs when you start perceiving that how you feel about a situation is a
reliable indicator in predicting the reality.
