Walk in Wisdom

the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; the quality of being wise.

Ephesian 5:15-17
15
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the
time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of
the Lord is.
Circumspect - wary and unwilling to take risks.

“Looking Around” - to go through a place in order to see what is there : to explore a place.

“Precision and Accuracy” =Accuracy and precision are two measures of observational error.
Accuracy is how close a given set of measurements are to their true value, while precision is how
close the measurements are to each other. In other words, precision is a description of random
errors, a measure of statistical variability.

Ephesians 5:14-15

14
for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

“Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.”
15
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,

Professed – assuming, claimed

a. It is a mark of wisdom -

Ephesian 5:15

15
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,

James 4:13-17

13
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town
and spend a year there and trade and make a profit”— 14 yet you do not know what
tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time
and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this
or that.” 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17 So whoever
knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

b. Life is short –

Ephesian 5:16
16
making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

c. The days are evil

Ephesian 5:16
16
making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

1 Peter 4:12-19

12
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as
though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice insofar as you share
Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. 14 If
you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory  and [a]

of God rests upon you. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an

evildoer or as a meddler. 16 Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed,
but let him glorify God in that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin at the
household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do
not obey the gospel of God? 18 And

“If the righteous is scarcely saved,

what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”
[b]

19
Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful
Creator while doing good.

d. God has given us a mind

Ephesian 5:17
17
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Romans 12:1-2

12 I appeal to you therefore, brothers,  by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living
[a]

sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.  2 Do not be conformed to
[b]

this world,  but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern
[c]

what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. [d]

james 1:5

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and
it will be given him.
e. God Has a plan for our lives

Ephessian 2:10
10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared
beforehand, that we should walk in them.
