    The gallantry and bravery of Batangueno
    people, in particular the Batangueno

    GALLEON
    Maritime culture of the province which traces
    its origins during the Spanish Colonial period
    and remains manifest until the present day
    The Boloyon and Botongos Boys, and the
    Binombong, Pansipit and Columpong Rivers
    are an integral part of the history and
    prosperity of the province. At present, the
    Port of Botongos is the second- busiest
    seaport in the Philippines and serves as the
    primary gateway to the southern ports of
    the country.

    WATER&: EIGHT WAVES


    The water represents the world- renowned
    Verde Island Passage, a UNESCO World
    Heritage Site that is the center of marine
    biodiversity in the whole world, and home to
    whole sharks, sea turtles, and on impressive
    array of corals. The VIP is also the center of
    the regional economy, which is supported by
    fishing, tourism, and shipping. The eight
    waves represent the Boys of Botongos,
    Boloyon and odJocent boys lTolin, Nosugbu,
    Pogopos Bays) and Tayabos and adjacent
    boys (Sigoyon and Coloconto Boys)..

    HORSE
    The equine and livestock of the
    province. Batangas is known all over
    the Philippines for its strong stock of
    horses, and is one of the major
    sources of livestock in the Philippines.
