The Prophets and Messengers that came before us, were sent to guide humanity to

the true religion of Allah. They all had the same job, which is to teach people how
to worship Allah and lead a righteous life.
Every Prophet sent by Allah was given miracles and signs. These miracles
depended on which people that particular prophet was sent to.
1. Prophet Yunus was swallowed by a whale and he survived.
2. Prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) survived the blazing fire that his people threw him
into.
3. Prophet Musa (pbuh) had a walking stick that could turn into a serpent, and
he used it to split the Red Sea in two.
4. Prophet Jesus (pbuh) could raise the dead and cure the blind, and he also
spoke from his cradle.
Of course these miracles were done under the commandment of the Supreme
Being, God.

But did you know that the seal of Prophets, Muhammed (pbuh) also performed
miracles? Here are some fascinating ones

1. Prophet Muhammad’s Miracle of the moon splitting

When the unbelievers challenged the Prophet to perform a miracle. He pointed
towards the moon and by the will of Allah, it split into two.

After some time of staying in that state, it went back to its original state.

2. Prophet Muhammad’s miracle of Isra and Miraj

This miracle refers to the night journey Muhammad made with the angel Gabriel.
He went from Mecca to Jerusalem. From there he ascended up to the heavens to
hold a communication with Allah. By the time he returned to Mecca it was still
night time.

3. Prophet Muhammad’s miracle of the tree that cried

The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬would rest against a dried trunk and would deliver his sermons
from there. When the Prophet’s companions finally built him a stage to give the
Friday Sermon, he heard a sound that resembled the crying of a baby camel. He
went down from the stage and made his way to the tree to hug it.
4. Prophet Muhammad’s miracle of water that flowed from his hands
On the day of Al-Hudaibiya , the people became very thirsty. After completing the
ablution, the people rushed towards the Prophet ‫ﷺ‬. He asked what was the matter
with them. They replied that they had no water for ablution or drinking except a
small pot of water which clearly wasn’t enough for them. So he then placed his
hand into the pot and water started to flow from his fingers like a spring. Everyone
drank and performed ablution that day.

5. Invisibility
When the Prophet (pbuh) planned to migrate to Medina, the tribes in Mecca,
Planned to kill him. But when the Prophet (pbuh) walked out right in front of them
none of them were able to see. They were blinded.

6. Prophet Muhammad’s miracle of the wedding dinner

When the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬married Zaynab bint Jahsh (may Allah be pleased with her)
Anas bin Malik’s mother a mixture of pure Madinah dates only enough for the
Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬and his wife. When the prophet ‫ ﷺ‬received the dish from Anas bin
Malik, He told him to invite so many companions that the narration mentioned
about 300 companions were invited that day. He fed all of his guests until they
were full.

7. The lifeless objects , animals, and jinns also communicated with

the Prophet (pbuh)
On several occasions, trees, stones, mountains and sand would greet the Prophet
(pbuh) when he passed. Once, a Jew roasted a goat, filling it with a very strong
poison. She then sent it to prophet (PBUH). But before the Prophet (pbuh) touched
the food, the goat spoke to him and informed him of the poison. So he told
everyone to abstain from the food.

8. Miracles with Food

The Messenger of Allah fed more than a hundred people from very small food.
Whenever he placed his blessed hands on any food, he caused it to increase and
everyone could eat to their fill and still have left over. In one narration, he (pbuh)
fed more than a hundred men from one cup of milk. Each person would drink to
his fill and pass to the next without refilling.
9. The Prophet could heal the sick
One of the companions was hit by an arrow in his eye. The arrow was so deep it
was sticking out at the back of his head. The Messenger (pbuh) placed his hands
over the eye and it healed.

refresh themselves. they came to the house of Umm Ma‘bad Since It was a
rainless year, the goats were very thin and was unable to give milk . The Prophet
(Peace be upon him), with her permission, touched its udders, reciting the Name of
Allah, and to their great joy, the goat grew stronger and was able to give milk.

Although the miracles listed above are extraordinary, the greatest miracle of our
Prophet ‫ﷺ‬, is The Holy Quran. No Muslim can disagree the miracle of the Holy
Quran. It is a book that was revealed to mankind through the Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬that will
