Letter of Intent
I have found that one of the most challenging decision is the career choice. An unthoughtful decision might put
us in a tight spot in the future, I have chosen the career of Chemical Engineering after thoughtful analysis and
planning to search for the abilities and the aptitude I possess, After I enrolled in the university, I was assured of
the correctness of my choice, my passion for mathematics and chemistry was a great support for me in my
academic studies, where I was able to build a strong and coherent scientific structure and the courses in
engineering materials, has laid the foundations for a higher level study. I got a bachelor's degree and, I was one
of the five top graduates, my passion and willingness to apply my academic knowledge in practical application
motivated me to work in the field of oil refineries which embodies the meaning of chemical engineering with
physical and chemical transitions, and huge industrial processes. the practical experience was a great
motivation for me to pursue my studies in the master's degree in the field of petrochemicals and polymer
science, which is an essential part of the oil industries. Working in refineries, with its severe risks, requires a lot
of discipline and accuracy in work. This helped me to shape my personality and made me able to do accurate
scientific research, Despite the war which Syria lives, I was able to finish a master’s degree, through to great
passion and strict adherence to the scientific methods, achieving great results that qualified me in addition to
my practical experience to obtain Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programmer scholarship(ITEC),
which puts rigid conditionality for the candidates.I trained for four months, which allowed me to acquisition of
indigenous Indian knowledge in the oil and petrochemical field and gained experience to integrate and deal with
other cultures. I work as a volunteer in local charity because I believe that any person can’t achieve success
unless he is an impact in his community. Turkey has the top universities for higher education and various
scholarships to encourage and attract international students, Turkey has a high standard of education, it acts
like a magnet and attracts all the intellectual and bright candidates from around the globe. A lot of opportunities
for research can be found in Turkey and I intend to avail of them and work with my full potential. After I will
obtain the PhD degree I intend to obtain a research scholarship to participate in the researches that will help to
reduce problems that confronted our plant, and secure a better future for mankind and then I will return to my
country to assists in the national rebuilding efforts of country after it has damage suffered by the war.
In this section, it is expected to explain following details: your academic and social experiences relating the field you want to take an education, your
reasons for choosing Turkey for study and the importance of your future plans for your education and scholarship in Turkey. You can write the letter
of intent in the language you can express yourself.
Polymer science - chemical cracking for waste polymers (plastics) polymer is one such commodity that has
been so extensively used and is sometimes referred to as one of the greatest innovations of the millennium.
The polymer has achieved such an extensive market due to the fact that it is lightweight, cheap, flexible,
reusable, does not rust or rot, and so forth. Because of this, polymers production has gone up every year on a
global basis since 1950. In recent years, significant growth in the consumption of polymer globally has been
due to the introduction of polymers into newer application areas such as in an automotive field, transport,
medical and healthcare, electrical and electronics, telecommunication, building. As far as the individual
polymers materials are concerned, polyolefins account more half of the total consumption. In recent years, it is
quite common to find in newspapers and publications that polymers are turning out to be a menace. the
polymers are no biodegradable in nature. The disposal and decomposition of polymers have been an issue
which has caused a number of research works to be carried out in this regard. Currently, the disposal methods
employed are landfilling, mechanical recycling, biological recycling, pyrolysis recycling, and chemical recycling.
Of these methods, chemical cracking with both pyrolysis and catalytic types is a research field which is gaining
much interest recently, as it turns out to be that the products formed in this method are highly advantageous.
The thermal cracking method converts the polymers into liquid and gaseous oils in the absence of oxygen. The
catalytic method in comparison with thermals is the best because of the high yield of liquid oil and the quality of
products.

the composite hybrid materials were prepared from a base material composed of epoxy and phenol-
formaldehyde resins and reinforced by 30% wt alumina and silica powders and asbestos fibers. For samples
were prepared with. Different ratio of reinforcing material The blending ratios of the two polymers were as
follow: 20% Epoxy, 80% Novolac 50% Epoxy, 50% Novolac 80% Epoxy, 20% Novolac The samples were
latest immersed in nitric acid for periods of 30 and 60 days .the tensile strength was tested for the samples
before and after immersion and the best and worst samples in terms of its young's modulus were thereby
identified. These samples were tested for pressure, impact, bending strength and hardness The result
obtained indicated that increasing the ratios of the epoxy resin and alumina gave higher values for young's
modulus, whereas the samples with higher ratios of Asbestos and silica and lower ratio of epoxy gave
lowest values of young's modulus .

In this work, composite hybrid materials were prepared from a base material composed of epoxy and phenol-
formaldehyde resins and reinforced by 30% wt alumina and silica powders and asbestos fibers. For samples
were prepared with. Different ratio of reinforcing material The result obtained indicated that increasing the
ratios of the epoxy resin and alumina gave higher values for young's modulus, whereas the samples with
higher ratios of Asbestos and silica and a lower ratio of epoxy gave lowest values of young's modulus and
pressure and higher values for bending coefficient the results obtained also indicated. that the resistance of
the sample to immersion in nitric acid particular for a period of 60 days was not affected by the reinforcement
