I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates understanding of: Southeast Asian literature as mirror to a shared
heritage; coping strategies in processing textual information; strategies in examining features of a
listening and viewing material; structural analysis of words and propaganda techniques; and
grammatical signals for opinion- making, persuasion, and emphasis.

B. Performance Standard:
The learner transfers learning by composing and delivering a persuasive speech based on an
informative essay featuring use of properly acknowledged information sources, grammatical signals for
opinion-making , persuasion, and emphasis, and appropriate prosodic features, stance, and behavior.

C. Learning Competency:

Judge the relevance and worth of the ideas presented in the material viewed.

1. Preparatory Activities
A. Prayer
The teacher will ask the students to stand for the prayer.
B. Greetings
The teacher will greet the students.
C. Checking of Attendance
The teacher will check the attendance.
D. Checking of Surroundings
The teacher will ask the students to pick up the pieces of trash and arrange their chairs properly. The teacher
will also remind the students to wear their facemasks and apply alcohol.

2. Developmental Activities
A. Reviewing of the Previous Lesson
The students will recall the lessons discussed the previous day. The teacher will ask the students about they
remember about the lesson.

B. Establishing a Purpose for the Lesson


The teacher will inform the students that they are going to take their first quiz for the third quarter.

The teacher will also instruct the students to prepare themselves and the necessary things needed in taking the
quiz.

C. Presenting Examples/ Instances of the Lesson


The teacher will tell students what lesson content or test items to expect on their quiz.

D. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skills #1


The teacher will discuss the rules while taking the test.

E. Discussing New Concepts and Practicing New Skills #2


The students will listen attentively to the teacher as she explains the directions of the quiz.

F. Developing Mastery (Leads to Formative Assessment 3)


The teacher will start distributing the test papers to the students.

G. Finding Practical Applications of Concepts in Daily Living


The students will answer the test items silently. If ever they have questions, the students may raise their hand
to ask the teacher.

H. Making Generalizations and Abstractions about the Lesson


The teacher will collect the test papers and ask the students what test items do they find easy and difficult.

The teacher will instruct the students to exchange papers with their seatmates to check their papers.

J. Additional Activities for Applications or Remediation


The teacher will record the test results and get the frequency of errors.
